Talking Men who carry a Lady Smith

Anyone other than me carry a Lady Smith Model 60-14? I did change the grips to a set of Houge Monogrips.

Well, you can add me to the list, but my 60-14 wears Hogue Coco Bolo bantam grips!

I carry a 3914LS on occasion. It is my wife's gun, but she likes her 3" M36 better and I'm too cheap to buy another 3914 or 3913.

I carry a 3913LS and it is a great gun. I dont think any bad guy will laugh at me because it says Lady Smith on the side.

I sold the 3914LS to a buddy because his now x-wife had to have it. I do carry, occasionally, my 60-14 LS. The price was REAL right (AKA under $250 for gun, papers, padded box, lock...) and the thing didn't look like it had been fired except for factory testing. It now sports a set of CT105 grips as opposed to the "Dymondwood" grips. Only modification besides grip panels I have made is to remove the "Flag".

I think the Lady Smith 60-14 is a work of art and I carry it on occasion with the original grips. BTW, this string is worthless without photos.

I don't care WHAT it says on the gun...all I care is that it does the job I am asking it to do. Yes, I carry a 3913 LS and have no qualms about it.

I have a Model 36 Lady Smith. I don’t have any pics of it though. I think of her as my other special girl that gets my attention. She wears some Altamont boot grips with the fleur de le pattern on them.

But for a really compact combo she wears a BK:

There's nothing wrong with a Ladysmith. I'd love a 3" Model 65 Ladysmith . . . and I'd be proud to carry her around!

I have a Model 65, three inch Lady Smith.
Having Lady Smith on it does not bother me in the least for I only paid $225.00 for it from a man whose mother had passed and had never shot it..... If I could, I'd have the reciept engraved on it to show the guys who make fun of my carrying a Lady Smith....

Smile 65 - LS

I carry a 65 LS and consider it just about perfect for my applications. This issue has been raised before and I have never understood anyone's objections to carrying a LS. In fact I feel that she is pretty good company.

I don't think they are joking. I've heard about these guys but never actually seen any. Apparently they read the pamphlet that comes with tools before they use it and ask for directions when they get lost.

Nice. Kick a guy when he's not looking. I'm joking. You try turning down a sweet deal on a Model 36 just because it has LadySmith in cursive on the side of it. Really, I could care less. But the few times I have been asked I just say that she's my girl and we take good care of each other or some other such drivel. I also have a 3913NL. It isn't LadySmith marked but I much prefer it over the regular version. If they were made for women then I guess all single stack 9mm small size guns and all the chief's special J framed and lately the magnum J's are women guns. Jeeze, it's not like it came with the pink grip. And no, it didn't. I came with a smooth rosewood round butt grip. I just find it way too slick under recoil so I snagged a Altamont boot that is checkered. So I will draw a line in the sand with pink guns, but just because of some script... No, fraid not buddy. She's a keeper.

I wish I had, I would carry it. I'm secure enough in my sexuality and masculinity to carry a Lady Smith

The difference in a LadySmith and the "men's" model is what? The grips? And it seems most people have changed the grips?

The 642 LS is 0.5 oz lighter, which seems negligible. What am I missing?

My 3913 LS works just fine, thank you. Matters not what some marketing guy suggested.

I occassionally carry a Model 60-7 LadySmith.

I bought it years ago for my Mom, and got it back when she died. I see no reason to trade it in on a more ManlySmith...

The 3-inch Model 65 with the shrouded ejector rod only came as a Ladysmith variation as far as I can recall and it might just be the best concealed carry .357 Magnum revolver to have ever been created.

Yes, right, you've got the 0.5 oz lighter, and the grips, but you missed the whole "Lady Smith" printed prominently on the Sid of the gun; that's a little different...

OK, relax, I've got one, too... The way I saw it, was who would have the stones to laugh at you when you're holding 5 rounds of .357! It's a very nice gun, and I let my wife borrow it, whenever she asks...

3" M65 LS and the holster I just made for it. Now I have a good way to carry it. If you're looking at the business end of the gun I don't think you'll be thinking about the Ladysmith on the side.

That holster is gorgeous. I just picked up my first wheelgun and they are pretty awesome.
This thread makes me laugh.... so i guess I need to give up all my manly guns and only shoot 'girl' guns....
It's funny, most correspondence comes addressed as MR. even when I've talked to a person... hello, it's Heather! or hell just get it right it's "MAJ"

I recently purchased a "Women of the Nra" engraved 442 cause I wanted an engraved 442 with a slick black finish and the title "Women of the NRA" is on the gripframe.

It's a J Frame cutie that likes Nyclad ammo.

Aloha,

I help teach a basic handgun class and my M-65 LS gets a workout.

Even Big construction workers have an appreciation for the Lady

Women love the way it handles when shooting.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that anybody you happen to be shooting at with your LS will have other things on their mind besides questioning your manhood at that particular point in time.

That gets my vote for best LadySmith ever made along with best LadySmith and holster combo.

I would be proud to carry that Lady in that holster.

my aunt has a "lady smith" auto and my dad has its clone... without the "lady smith" on the slide. Just a marketing tool I think.

I would carry one in a heart beat though, nice guns!

Not a Model 60 Lady Smith, but I do have a Model 642 Lady Smith that I really enjoy, and have no qualms in carrying. Mine has a moon clip cut cylinder from a Model 442, and LG-405 CT Laser Grips.

By the way, I'd love to find a Model 65 Lady Smith at an affordable price.

Regards,

Dave

I used to have a 3" model 60 LS that I carried on occasion. I sold it to a friend for his wife to use and for me to fund another purchase.

Yes, I have regretted that decision.

The J frame LS's were basically standard with the L Word engraved. The 3913's had a unique frame shape , but thr same frame design was later used in the "NL" models for the self-conscious guys.

But the M65LS was indeed the sole apearence of a shrouded 3in fixed sight . I haven't yet , but I always cast an eye on Mrs Biggfoot's whenever open the safe.

I carry a 60-9. I have the Crimson Trace laser grips on it. Nice concealed carry package.

I have no problem with anyone carrying a lady smith, I would too if I could afford one, and only after I polished the "lady smith" off.
