got to share this
just wanted to let you guys know I am know legal to carry in the great state of texas. was a little down after paying some bills but a trip to the mailbox changed all that. my concealed handgun license arrived today after about 4 weeks of wait time. not bad. so as you can imagine I am fairly psyched.
next week will check out some belt holsters for my 442-1. looking forward to it. any recommendations are welcome.
thanks guys,
mike

mike,
Good for you!! The country needs people who'll stand and deliver, rather than depend for their safety on someone else; who may never
show up during your lifetime.
I also just acquired a 442-1, and have the new holster in the works.

For your 442, a good off the shelf holster is the Galco Concealable. Congratulations on the CHL!

thanks guys for the nice comments. I really appreciate that.
sip, I am looking into ordering the one you have pictured from ray. I have been looking at the galco and the bianchi but I think ray's looks like a better deal.

Last I heard, Ray's delivery time was very reasonable too.

Congrats on your CCW!
In addition to your belt holster purchase, please do consider a 2X2X2 ammo carrier to match or a speed strip pouch....it's almost more important that the holster you pick for your Jframe.
Carry well. Be safe.

Congratulations. Don't overlook Mernickle holsters, either. Great stuff and shorter wait periods.
