I carry almost strictly IWB-appendix. Holsters are cheap and the gun is flat against your torso.

I can recommend the Wraith IWB holster by Seth's Gun Leather. I have one for my 3" 65. I've posted about it elsewhere, but I'll say it is the most comfortable holster I've ever tried. I've carried my 65 for 12+ hours straight without any problem. Retention is good, and it pulls the grip frame in close to the body. I have no problem concealing it while wearing an untucked shirt. It should work well with your 2.5" 66.

Here's a picture with my gun in the holster:

The best carry holster I have ever owned ( and is the only belt holster I now use ) is my Kramer Leather Speed Scabbard in Horsehide. Light, strong, thin but stiff, and retains the weapon perfectly without the use of snaps, and straps. A bit pricey, but IMHO worth the cost.

Mine ride in either a Kramer like Chief38or a Milt Sparks VM-2 neither are cheap holsters, but then again you only need to buy one and then you are done.
Might work for you as well.......

For medium and large framed revolvers a good pancake-style holster is difficult to beat. Good balance of comfort, accessibility, security, and concealability.
