Default "Square" or "Round" Pocket Holster

I might get a Mika Pocket Holster for my J-Frame. I see they are offered in Square and Round (pictures below). Any advantage/disadvantage of one over the other? I'm guessing it depends on the shape of the pants pocket?

Maybe I'll get one of each

Depends on the pants. Generally, round is for the front...square is for the back. but if you use cargo pants with big front pockets, the square will also work...

Which reminds me of the movie "Raising Arizona."

Evelle: These balloons blow up into funny shapes and all?
Grocer: Well no... unless you think round is funny.

Of all the lines from that movie to quote, you picked an obscure one. But a great one.

For the square bottomed pockets, the round bottom holster -may- tilt outwards and you really want it to be up and down. For round bottom pockets like some jeans, the square bottom holster won't go deep enough.

I have found that no one pocket holster works with all my pants so I have multiples.

I have both but use the round more often.

Edit to add this one just for Sip...
