Spegel Grips (Finally)
After using the Uncle Mikes Spegel grip copys for a while I finally broke down and bought a set of the real Spegel Boot Grips for my new no lock Smith 642. I went to the range yesterday and fired 50rds of 158 round nose and 20 rds each of 135 Cor Bon and 125 Nyclad ammo and really noticed the differance usually after 20 rds of Cor Bon+p I am ready to quit but the Spegels really seemed to help. I carry the 642 about 24-7 in a Mika pocket holster loaded with the Cor Bon Gold Dots and extra speed strip. Altho in todays society I would rather carry an M16 I guess I am at least ready to take care of me and mine

Excuse me, but Corbon's +P's are 110 grain
and aren't Gold Dots. They are DPX.
The 135's you mention are Speer Gold Dot Short Barrel +P's.

That's what I have on my 642. The high horns help, but I think the palm swells are what really makes the Spegels great grips. At this point I can't imagine owning a J-frame without Spegel boot grips. I'm even tempted to try a set for my K-frames.

Coach22, you got me I ment to say Speer Gold Dots and 125 Nyclad. I really don't care for any 110gr bullett as they have always shot very low for me. The Gold dots seem to be right on at 15-25 feet they do bark a bit but the new Spegels really help and like ContinentalOP says I can't now imagine a J frame without them
