+1 for sipowicz.....IMO the GALCO Ankle Glove AG160/AG161 can't be beat. The holster is designed to secure the weapon across the grip and not the hammer. I use mine to carry my M649. I have worn it for more than fourteen hours with no discomfort. The holster is leather backed by lambskin and the strap is neoprene. Very adjustable.

I use a renegade cozy partner...along with the Galco, it is one of the most recommended rigs on the web for ankle carry...you can't go wrong with either one...

I too have skinny legs and very thin ankles. You can put an extra piece of cloth insie the sock of the ankle your rig is on. It adds a bit of padding and increases comfort for a long day.

Wrap your ankle with several layers of duct tape, then put on the ankle holster of your choice. The side benefit of duct tape is that it leaves your ankle silky smooth with no razor stubble.

You may want to give Big Bird a call and see what he uses. That big yellow bird has been around a long time. Sorry, I couldn't resist. I tried ankle carry for awhile but didn't like it. Maybe for a back-up but not for my main weapon.
