Im relieved that this wasnt a commercialized 9/11 commemorative piece... any of that stuff just cheapens the day. this revolver IS a special piece of history.

Apparently the family wants to help protect the 2nd amendment rights of Americans. In NYC we have an NYPD Police museum, where the gun could have gone to, but yet they donated it to the NRA. It may have also gone to the WTC museum. God Bless PO Weaver and his family as well as the other victims and family left behind by 9/11/01.

I was thinking the same thing when I first saw the title to the post I retrieved this from. "Oh no, S&W is capitalizing on (exploiting?) 9/11 by offering a limited edition gun...ugh." But when I watched the video, I was moved by the poignant and touching story of this special gun. Feel free to send the link onto others.
