Default Tucker IWB holster on order

Hey All,
I have just placed an order for a Tucker Texas Heritage IWB holster (for my 66-5 snub that my Dad has agreed to sell back to me )

Any experiences with this set-up?
It looks highly adjustable, for both cant angle and depth..

I do wonder about the overall width of the clips, and if it will be possible to carry at 3:30ish...
(sometimes some holsters do not allow for "wraparound" of the body, due to the lack of overall "spread" of the clips..

Any experiences would be great to hear about!
(will post pics in a month or so...when it gets delivered)

No exp. with the Texas heritage but I have th HF2 and I love it. Rob does quality work. I can't think why the T H would be any less quality than the HF 2. The HF2 fits my P229R like a glove and rides good and conceals good. Great products.

wheelyfun66:

You've got a good dad there.

You'll have no problem with 3:30 carry. I have a Texas Heritage for my 686+ 3" and it is curved/contoured to fit around the hip area.

Enjoy.

Chris

I carry my 66-1 in a Tucker Texas Heritage. I had them dye the outside black to blend with my almost always black undershirt. I wear it at 3:30-4ish. Some pants have beltloop conflict issues. I might switch out the belt clips with the narrower ones from my Comp-Tac Minotaur. I've even used the tuckable feature, once. It concealed fine, but my wife thought it suspicious that I had a tucked-in shirt. I also carry my 64-2, 65-3, and even my 686-3 in it sometimes. My only gripe is that the layer against my hip is roughout, which they do on purpose, and state on the website. I did not realize this, and wish it were smooth.

Thanks for the helpful feedback.
Regarding the "roughout" issue...As far as I know, their website allowed me to specify "smooth-out", and I did.
I wonder if things have changed since you got yours? (the website did explain, in the FAQ section, about rough vs smooth out, and I made sure to specify smooth out.

I will report back to you, as to whether or not mine has smooth or rough out against the body.

Either way, sounds like a great holster choice for a heavy revolver!

If you call Rob on the phone, or send him an e-mail, he will make sure that Tucker makes your holster the way you want it. He probably will anyway but why test the satisfaction guarantee (which will be honored in any case).

I have, and use about half a dozen Tucker holsters including three, or maybe it is four, THs.

My edc is an XD9sc that I carry most of the time in a TH. In fact I have two of them for it as in warm weather here in Las Vegas, most of the year, the holster will get wet and I switch off giving them a chance to dry out.

They are all great holsters and more then worth the price and the wait. Customer service is also outstanding.

Ken
