What do you guys that have PPK's carry them in? I'm specifically interested in pocket holsters, but may end up with others. I recently acquired a stainless Interarms PPK, and I hope to enjoy the way it shoots and carries as much as I like it's looks.

My wife carries her PP in a concealed carry purse. I carry my J-frame in a Mika pocket holster, when I carry it. Not on subject but I hope it helps.

I carried a PPK in an appendix IWB holster. I used Galco "sky ops" model. Very comfortable.

PPK/S in a Don Hume JIT slide at the 4 o'clock. For me it's a very comfortable setup and hides well.

I use a Mike's size 2 pocket holster with my CZ Vz.50, which looks a lot like a PPK, and uses the same holsters.

I've got a Uncle Mike's nylon size 3 pocket holster that I use for my 642, and it works well with the S&W. However, the PPK seems to wobble in it some. I'm thinking that a Size 2 in the Uncle Mike's or the same size in an equivalent Blackhawk! may tote it better. Anybody have any experience with these setups?

I used to carry mind just behind the hip point in an outside of the belt holster. I don't shoot it any more, I got tired of the damn thing biting me.

I have a PPK/S that I occasionally carry. In the cool months I use a Bianchi Black Widow holster thats easily covered with a sweater or sweat-shirt....I also sometimes carry it in (don't laugh) a fanny-pack by Bagmaster.

I don't like to carry the PPK/S in my pocket...seems too heavy, so I use a Kel-Tec P3AT for pocket carry.

I had a PPKS and I carried it in an ankle holster. A very easy to shoot weapon with really decent sights. Some people complain about the trigger but I always thought it was fine. The new .380s are much more potent than the older ones were and I think this is an excellent carry weapon. But the PPKS would have been too big (and I thought too heavy) for pocket carry. The PPK is a bit smaller, but not much lighter.

The weapon has been around for like 70 years so they've had time to work the bugs out. A good weapon for its caliber.

sew the holster shut alittle to fit. easy fix.

I carry a Makarov in a Bulldog case molded leather slide. It is inexpensive and fits my gun like a glove.

In the 80s, I carried my PPK/s in a Bianchi, horizontal shoulder holster. I thought it was an ideal size for that type of carry and, for a shoulder holster, it worked great.

At other times, I carried it in the side pocket of a leather coat.

Many guns are too thick for comfortable IWB carry, I think, but the PPK is thin enough to work well with this very thin Kydex holster.

My choice is the Greg Kramer IWB #2 holster in horsehide or his Belt Scabbard. The scabbard is very low profile for an on the belt holster.
Both are extremely thin for leather because horsehide is denser than cowhide holsters are. It is more durable, too.

For the pocket, same maker, Kramer. His pocket holster has a plastic or polymer rectangle sewn on the outside so if it prints in your pants pocket it will look like a wallet. It will not print the profile of the PPK, or a J Frame S&W or a D frame Colt. Release from the holster in the pocket is faster than with the nylon or nylon-like materials used for the DeSantis Nemisis or the Mika pocket holsters. This material is also thicker than horsehide leather and adds a little more bulk to the holster as well.
The Nemisis and the Mika both work, and they are very affordable. I used a Nemisis for a little over 2 years for front pocket carry.

However, you get what you pay for.
I'd suggest checking out Greg Kramer, Milt Sparks, Ken Null, Mitch Rosen, or Matt DeFatti before you buy anything. All these makers are fairly expensive but they are some of the best in the US.

Kydex holsters are even thinner than horsehide. They are inexpensive, too. The bad points are that Kydex is like sandpaper to a blued gun's finish. If your PPK is a old German one or an imported post war version I think you will be miserable if you carry it in a Kydex holster when you see what it does to the finish. If you have a newer US made stainless steel PPK, then you have nothing to worry about.
* I just noticed you mentioned your PPK is stainless steel. One less thing to worry about if you want a Kydex holster.

It is also my experience that Kydex holsters, being quite rigid, become uncomfortable after a few hrs. of wearing. If you intend to wear the holster and gun for 4+ hrs. leather will be a lot more comfortable.

I bought a PPK in 1989. I also bought a Safariland model 527 -89 which is a black belt holster with no thumb snaps. It holds the gun securely, you could stand on your head and the gun would not drop out of the holster. Its fits close to your body and is difficult to see. Its a great hoster and is made for a number of small to medium automatics, the product number all begin with 527-then two numbers for specific model guns. I have been a LE Officer for 38 years and I can't say enough about this line of holsters.

I picked up this SIG 230 last year when I went back to get a PPK my dealer had. I originally wanted a canoe gun. This filled the bill
in spades, especially after I took it for a short swim I carry it mostly in a belt slide.

I know that a lot of folks think the PPK is too heavy for the pocket, but I carried a 640-1 for pretty long time that way, and it just didn't bother me much. Can't carry that way in the summer in shorts; found that a cheap nylon belly band works better with a t shirt and shorts than anything.

I carried my Interarms stainless PPK/S all the way to the gunshop and traded it in on a nice S&W Model 15-3 with a 2" barrel. I know it won't bite my hand or jam on JHP ammo.

I have a Sig P232 (the Sig version of the PPK/S. I carry it in a DeSantis Sof-Tuk IWB. Very comfortable carry. I have never had it Fail-to -Chamber any type of round. I did polish the feed ramp.
