Hmmm. I have a couple of L and N frame guns in that same barrel length, and I use some old tactical nylon holsters. Problem is, they're not always good at keeping the firearm snug--which is where the lined leather, I think, would help a lot.
I'm talking to a guy in Oklahoma right now about making me a custom paddle-holster for my K-frame 2 1/2" barrel. He's made a number of holsters for some of us who write about guns and blogs and the such, and with excellent results.
I strongly considering him as a candidate to make me a custom leather holster for my long-barreled Smiths.
You might want to talk to this fellow. He made a very nice shoulder holster for my 3.5 in. SAA clone with an additional holster for a J-frame. I am very satisfied.
