NV Drops WV and LA. . . . MT Honors AL & IL
Nevada has removed West Virginia and Louisiana from the list of states they will honor. WV was dropped as they will issue to 18 – 20 Y/O if required for employment. Not sure why they dropped Louisiana. You can see Nevada’s list of states they honor Here:
Nevada Department of Public Safety
Louisiana will most likely drop Nevada in the coming days or weeks from their listings as they will only honor states that honor them.
Montana now honors Illinois and Alabama. https://doj.mt.gov/enforcement/concealed-weapons/
That makes 43 states that Montana Honors.
These changes will be updated on Handgunlaw.us late this evening or early tomorrow.

Nevada seems to operate in an arbitrary and capricious fashion, naming and dropping recognition without any obvious reason.
It can't be due to crime rates, because CCL holders are less likely to commit serious crimes than sworn LEOs (on a percentage basis). For the moment, Nevada recognizes Illinois, but I doubt that will have any effect on my travel plans in the immediate future. The minutes I spend in Las Vegas changing planes seem like hours.

Nevada does not recognize Texas CHL for many years, but Texas recognizes Nevada's. I wish Texas had the Attitude, you don't recognize us, we'll treat you the same.
I don't go to Nevada anyway.

Nevada has one of the more demanding set of requirements when it comes to CCW training and renewal intervals. One of them is that you must be over 21, whereas several states don't specify this AFAIK. That's a no-no for reciprocity straight away. The shooting part of a CCW qualification in NV is not that demanding, but many other states seem to be even less so, and apparently that causes heartache in Carson City.
The renewal interval thing touches a nerve here because at one time the more rural sherrifs were re-issuing without even running a NICS check on the applicants. As a result the ATF suspended the NICS exemption for NV CCW holders for a couple of years until the legislature put the renewal NICS check in writing.
Of course, it could simply be that NV wants you to get a CCW here and pay them the fees. As always in this state, follow the money... or lack of it.

Since Montana is a state I would love to visit I'm glad to see they are honoring my Ill-annoys permit. I wish Colorado would too.

Texas and Minnesota "May" someday honor IL but that will be about it. Most of the other states require the other state to honor them.

The Illinois and Nevada concealed carry licenses are honored in Oklahoma. Nevada doesn't honor Oklahoma's; and Illinois "honors" Oklahoma's as long as you don't get out of your car(!).

Neither AL nor TN require reciprocity. They both honor every other states permits. There are others, I'm sure.
I'm happy that TX does one way reciprocity. Much of that is because of the pro 2A position of Rick Perry. Merely because pin heads run some states, doesn't mean that their residents should suffer.
Especially if those residents are pro 2A.

In Louisiana one must be 21 for CCW. Well I wasn't planning to go to Nevada anyway, how's that!
