After years of searching, I just picked up a decent 3953 9mm that I want to carry. I ordered some mags from Midway but I cannot find a nice fitted IWB holster.
What IWB holster do you guys like for your 39XX series? I an looking for light weight and quality along with a measure of secure retention. (Am I asking too much?)
I used a Theis Holster for my 4003. It's nice and secure (it kind of "clicks" in) and hides my 4003 well, I imagine a thinner 3953 would be even better.
The rivets aren't brass colored, that's just the lighting.
I use a simple offset clip from lobo (a member here)...but he does make loops for more retention of the holster....gun retention will be the same with loops or clips as the holsters are molded to the weapon..I also recommend the horsehide for a few dollars more since it's a bit thinner than cow but still stiff....
The Thesis holster and mag carrier is my choice for the 3953. Carries and conceals great I am using White Hat Hook and loop belt clips with a heavy duty velcro lined belt and the system works! I alternate between the S&W 3953 and 638 J frame for summer carry. (Winter= 1911 in a White Hat with a Thesis mag carrier). Replaced the standard sights with Novak night sights.
