I have not seen a wallet holster for LCP + Lasermax, one that would allow firing of the LCP while in the wallet. There seem to plent for the LCP w/o Laser but nothing with. So I was thinking of making my own. Any good sources for leather along with any other recommendations?

I use 8/9 ounce vegetable tanned leather for my holsters, ammo pouches, etc.

You'll need to learn how to stitch, mold, harden and dye leather.

Before you start a custom leather project, I'd recommend that you make a mock-up of the finished product out of construction paper before touching any leather. Once you realize you can make your own custom leather products it can get addicting.

Just be careful with your design. A wallet holster that allows firing while completely concealing the gun is illegal under the NFA. Don't want you running afoul of the ATF!

Then what about a number of wallet holsters that conceal derringers and the like? They allow firing yet conceal the derringer

My advise would be to read and understand the law BEFORE you mess with any wallet holster.

Too often the law is what the arresting officer interrupts it to be.

If you're talking about the old-style wrap-around that was popular for the High Standard .22 Magnum derringer, those are "probably" illegal. The wording is that the holster can't conceal the fact that there's a gun within it and allow you to fire the gun from inside the holster.
Hey, not trying to be one of those internet "sheriffs" that go around admonishing people about this or that law. Just wanted to make y'all aware, so you'll keep it out of sight when the fed-man comes calling.
