Can anyone tell me a brand of N frame speed loader pouches that will hold two full moon 45 ACP clips in each pouch? This is for secure concealed carry carry, not competition. I have all the open systems but they are not fully enclosed to protect the clips or secure. Thanks!

The HKS 203 LG holds two moon clips. Don't know of any that hold 4 if that's what you mean.

Many speedloader pouches will accept loaded moon clips, singly or sometimes multiples. The problem that arises is that a pouch that will contain and secure the loaded moon clips can make it very difficult to remove them when needed. The moon clips do not have a knob like the speedloaders, so getting a hold on them while in a pouch could be hard to do.

what about that big hole in the middle of the moon clip? If competition speed isn't needed, I would think 2 loaded clips would stack on top of each other inside a speed loader pouch. Now the question is, Are 2 stacked moon clips taller than 1 loaded M-25 45 Colt speed loader, including the knob on top? I have some speed loaders around here somewhere for a 25-2 or 25-5 I had in the 80's but I never had a pouch. But I've been wondering the same thing for about 18 months, the same time I've been looking for a snubbie model 25 in ACP or Colt. Ivan

I use the shortest mace pouches. Each pouch holds three 45 ACP Moon clips. On my duty belt right now I have three pouches holding 9 moon clips which gives me 60 rounds for my primary (counting the six in the revolver). Taller pouches would hold more moon clips but you would have trouble reaching the ones on the bottom. Basically, I grab the clip off the top and the other two I access by sticking my finger in the hole in the middle and pulling them up. It is really pretty fast that way and I make it even faster by loading the clips with Hornady Critical Duty ammo. The pointy ammo makes the reload almost fly into the cylinder. pointing the barrel straight down when inserting the new clip also helps make it faster.

HKS large holders will hold 2full moons each and remove easily using index finger in center.

Can you provide a specific model, not soft nylon as the full moon clips are somewhat fragile? The standard HKS speed loader pouches are not tall enough for two full moon clips, as least in the hard plastic variety. Some mace carriers are described as fitting a particular size can of spray. Thanks!

A few years ago I addressed this same problem as I wanted to carry my 4" 625PC. Tried the pouches but they stuck out too much from the belt.

What I use now is a cellphone case, an old small one, and slide the loaded moonclips sideways down into the case. Two 45 full moonclips will fit into the case with little room to spare.

Draw with thumb and middle finger on sides of case, apply pressure and pull up, the top one pops out in your hand. No one even notices the case. I used an old Motorola phone case, from the 90s.

Here is a photo of the cell phone pouch with 2 full moon clips loaded with 230 JHPs.

I think these are the cases I use. They are nylon but have a plastic liner inside that keeps them straight and protects the moon clips.
