A 3" 36 no-dash is keeping me warm and fuzzy today. For some reason, that extra inch really stretches out my effective range. I feel reasonably confident that she'll get me home safely today.

I also have a 3" model 36. I occasionally carry. I really
like it but use the goodyears on it.
