I have been carrying only my J-Frames the last couple of years. Two daily. Either Two 442s or a 442 and the 36. I may have posted this already but, I'm old so it's OK.

It takes two ...
I carry a 360PD AirLite manufactured from Unobtainium materials like Scandium and Titanium for a super light weight:
Less than a pound loaded and holstered.
I carry it inside the waistband in Appendix carry. Once up to body temperature it is as if it isn't there. With the CT laser boot grips on it it doesn't print, even with a tight T-shirt over it.
It provides ready access and just as important, I can protect it when it is always right in front of me. I can find it from the fetal position, important if taken down with a surprise attack.
It's revolver reliable (98%?) and is dead simple to operate. Pull the trigger and it fires, one step operation with no safety as an off mode. It's always on and always hot. Great contact weapon for situations where you can't afford to miss
Downsiders are a vicious, punishing, recoil when firing Magnum ammo. Very short sight radius due to the inch an 7/8 barrel and poor sight positioning. The 340 Pro Series proves that great sights are possible in a Snubby:
After shooting five rounds of .357's out of the AirLite I ended the session and my wrist hurt fir three days. Now I carry Hornady Critical Defense .38 Spcl ( not even plus p) and with the help of the laser, it provides great close in self defense accuracy with fast follow-up shots.
I bought the 340 Pro to shoot, and to have the power of magnum loads if needed. When in carry the 340 is loaded with Hornaday 125 gr XTP's in .357 magnum.

S&W 627 PC in a Lobo Enhanced Pancake holster
For me, the S&W 627 PC was a tough gun to carry. Always seemed too heavy and printed easily in the Galco holster. It all changed when I picked up a Lobo Enhanced Pancake holster. Absolutely incredible. The gun disappears. No weight and no printing. I love to carry it now.

I typically wear it on the right hip from 2:30 to 3:30 depending on how the shirt hangs.

4" 325PD in a Lobo pancake, the perfect combo.

The 642 while not quite as light as its Scandium brethren is no slouch when it comes to carrying light...

I keep switching between the 637 and 60.
The 637 is so small and light, and slips right in my pocket. I have learned to shoot it "adequately".
The 60 is 2" longer and 9 oz heavier. But I shoot it MUCH better, and it throws .357 MAG bombs.
It's always a choice.

Most of the time I carry a Sig 938 or a S&W 360 J. When I carry the 360, I carry a couple of speed strips in my back pocket.

I only have two revolvers: a 640 Pro Series and a 686 SSR. I carry the 640 95% of the time in a IWB holster. When I carry the 686 I use a OTW holster.

SemiAuto nearly 100% of the time...until the past 6 months or so when I decided to try my 340PD. Now I carry it most of the time in an Uncle Mikes front pocket with a pouch of speed strips in the left pocket. For running around and General everyday errands it is great. It's only 13 ounces...I don't even notice it most of the time.
I still use the Sig 229 and M11A1D, just not as much.

I carry an H&K P2000 five days to and from work (duty gun). Off duty is a 2 1/2" model 66-5 most often. I do confess to carrying a Glock 27 sometimes in the summer (shorts) and a 2" model 64-3 DAO in a jacket pocket occasionally in the winter.

From ages 16-22 I carried a 3.5" 27. From ages 23-65 I carried a BHP with a 36 as backup. No being retired I carry a revolver 95% of the time in my pocket and it is a 649-2.

AJ if I remember right my grips are Hogue finger groove combat. They are longer than the grip frame. Not boot grips.

That's not my gun pictured, but I carry the exact same set up. I've never tried pocket carrying, but for me it's a bit big for that. I carry AIWB and that grip makes it really nice to draw from the belt.
I am thinking of trying the Pachmyr grips, just to see if I like them better. But those hogues are very good.
Nice shooting waywatcher!

Can I ask you exactly how you carry those? I am leaning toward doing this for when I feel like I need more. I am going to start another thread on this subject. And if you want you could answer there. It will be about NY reloads.

I don't think I can carry anything any bigger than the Bantams on my 340PD, but I'll check them out, thanks for the info.

In warm weather, my Model 49, a pocket holster in my cargo shorts. It also rides in a belt slide holster when I'm wearing jeans. it's about 50/50 between the wheelgun and my Shield.

340PD in a Galco horsehide pocket holster, with Speer .357 magnum 135 gr. Gold Dot short barrel rounds. Weighs as shown in some earlier posts, just under 16 ounces, loaded including the holster. I have killed a fair sized deer with this gun and ammo (told the story in an earlier thread), and the performance was perfect. I have great confidence in this combination, and it is so light and handy that I will have it with me even when I go out with the trash in pajama bottoms...even then it doesn't pull them down!!
Not exactly the most photogenic or glamorous of handguns, but the handiest, most powerful, lightweight combination I can think of, and I have quite a collection to choose from, since snubbies are sort of the focus of my collection interests.
If not the 340PD, one of the below is usually carried...340 PD is at the top, and the lightest. The 640-1 Pro Series has the best sights, but is twice the weight:
Best Regards, Les

I only use revolvers for carry, and I often carry two of them with speed loaders. A model 36 Chiefs Special goes in an IWB holster concealed. Depending on where I am going for the day I may CC carry the chief with my 686+ 4" in an OWB holster carried openly. Chief goes everywhere I go without exception.

Sorry just saw this. I probably answered in the new thread. A 442 with stock boot grips is in a Uncle Mike's pocket Holster in my left pocket. Another Snub is AIWB in a leather clip on.

I have a nickel plated Model 13-3 in .357 with burl wood grips that I very much enjoy carrying on occasion...mostly when the occasion calls for open carry...a beauty like this is meant to be seen and not hidden away!
And boy is she sweet to shoot! This gun is on my list of ones that I'll be damned before I ever part with.

Revolver Carry
I've been carrying a revolver a lot more lately than I used to. For now, I'm exclusively carrying my Model 638-2 in a Kramer Left Hand Pocket Holster, but am contemplating expanding to OWB with one of my K-Frames at a later date.

Used to carry a 642 quite a bit years ago but then I pretty much switched to carrying a semi-auto almost exclusively. Recently picked up this 442 and have started carrying it. Almost forgot how nice a light weight J-frame is to carry.

I still have a few boxes of those Nyclads tucked away in an ammo can.

When I carry a revolver, 99 out of 100 times it's my 642-1.

During the warmer months I mostly carry a Springfield XDS in .45 ACP, small auto 3.3 inch barrel less than 1 inch wide. I use a "Clip Draw" and a custom OWB leather holster for carry options. In colder months I switch to a Smith model 325 Night Guard in .45 ACP. Carry method is a custom leather OWB holster, or a Galco "Miami Classic" shoulder rig. In all months in addition to the above guns, I also wear a Smith model 60 , in . 38 on my ankle when I am working. The model 60 also gets carried in pocket holsters at times. Occasionally depending on the detail I will carry a Glock 23 because of the round capacity.

Size matters ...
While my J frames conceal easier and weigh considerably less, especially the 360PD AirLite, my 547 3" K frame in 9mm gets some carry duty.
It would be my weapon of choice to have in hand in most SHTF situations, backed up of course by an appropriate 9mm semi, my 915 comes to mind.
For my type of carry, weight is often a comforting feeling and the larger K frame carries well ISW Appendix. Comes out fast and points well, great instinctive aiming, but the laser grip I just added recently will enhance it's capabilities as a personal defense weapon.
