I carry a revolver about 95% of the time and a semi-automatic the remainder of the time.
The revolver is a M&P 340
The semi-automatic is a CZ 2075 RAMI BD
Both are mainly carried AIWB but when riding a motorcycle or when wearing a winter coat, the M&P 340 is carried in a jacket pocket

CZ 2075? I'll have to look this one up. Made in the Czech Republic I presume.

I'm in Florida and pocket carry Sig P938 a large portion of the year. I also OWB carry a Walther P99c and a CZ P-01. All of these pistols are chambered in 9mm, providing me with 7, 11, and 15 rounds of 124 gr Federal HST, respectively.
I recently picked up a S&W Model 65 3-inch chambered in .357 magnum from a relative. With the cooler weather moving in, I've begun OWB carrying the 65 on a daily basis and have been amazed how comfortable it is carrying the K-frame revolver. I also enjoy having the extra power of the .357 and carry two speedloaders to address the "not enough ammo" revolver concern. Going forward I expect to carry the revolver at least 25% of the time, even after the weather warms back up.

I only own one revolver, so it has to be my 442-1.

Not the one I carry the most. It's the only one I carry. Got to obey the law of the land.
Limited to .32 caliber, 4 inch barrel lenght for revolvers.
So, 3 inch model 31 dash something (don't remember dash what, and to lazy to go check ). Even though This .32 ruling allows for .32 Mag, I stick with .32 S&W long. The law also says you'r in deep trouble (trouble was not my first choice of word ), if you kill your attacker. The .32 Mag is not a "manstopper", but it is deadly.

With the short cylinder, I thought it would be the .45-ACP.

Just tested my new 640 Pro today, and it will be with me on local trips from now on. Ran 25 rounds of WWB 38 Special...then 10 rounds of Hornady 38+P...then 5 rounds of Hornady 357 Magnum. The Magnum rounds were much more controllable than I thought they’d be, really not much more than the 38+P. I think the Hogue grips helped...But CCW Ammo will be the 38+P...

My body is kind of round, and its hard enough keeping my pants up unloaded. So I just keep a g19 in the vehicle. But when it cools off a bit, and I can comfortably carry a firearm , my 686p 3" sits in my pocket nicely.

A 640-1 is my choice but I also have a 60-7 or 60-9 to choose from. Sometimes I like a 69 too if I feel like I might need some extra hp.

change of mind
Since getting this birth year Baby Chiefs back from "the smith" I've been carrying it exclusively. Bobbed hammer, partially relieved trigger guard, fully checkered back strap, cerekote and Craig Spegel's Baby Booties give me all the confidence I need in my day-to-day travels. My Air Force Chiefs stripes and the $5 gold piece from the year I retired are what a friend who's a retired Navy Chief calls a "new level in vanity."
If I'll be working in the woods and I feel a need for more I strap on the 460 ES. Overkill? A friend dropped a charging grizzly boar about 20 miles from here a few years ago so I don't think so.

640 no dash in front pocket (middle one), two speed strips in weak side pocket.
Edit: I've added a 640-1 also.

I carried a Model 36 (no dash) for 50 years! Saved my bacon a few times. I just recently switched to a Bodyguard 380 with laser in my front pocket!

If I lived there, I think a K-frame Smith & Wesson M&P in .32-20 with a 4 inch tapered barrel, magna grips, and a grip adapter would be the hot ticket.
Your little revolver is nice, but I'd put a grip adapter on it.

First part of the question is what percent of the time do you carry a revolver vs. a semi-auto?
Next, when you carry a revolver, which one do you carry most?
Do you have a carry rotation? What guns are in the rotation?
Do you carry IWB, OWB, Pocket, or some other way?
|
1- 100%
2- locally 2 1/2" model 66. Out of state traveling a 2 1/2" model 19-2- reason for this, if stopped, and I hope this does not happen, it would be less painful to have to get the model 19 back for some "local P.D."
3- see above.
4- I'm way to old and fat to IWB a revolver anymore.
4 A- generally a pancake or speed scabbard. On a rare event, an inverted shoulder holster.

I especially like the way each of the cylinder release screws are “clocked”.
