I carry two speed strips in a old cell phone leather case that clips to the belt. The style that's clips parallel to the belt.

Hey, we were talking on another forum and I thought of one more thing to mention about the Side Guard Rough Pouch:

I don't think I've ever put up pix of this before, but this is how I carry my speedloaders (on the rare times I carry them).

I used to just dig around in my pocket for them, but the round things fall to the bottom and kinda get hidden in the folds. (I used to craft little caps for them, to keep lint from occluding the hollow points.) Now, I just tuck them into the lip of my Side Guard Rough Pouch, which rides in my left side front pants pocket. I always have the Rough Pouch and some speed strips with me if I'm carrying a DA revolver, so this is no problem. It keeps the 'loaders up where they're easily reached and drawn, and it keeps them from turning every which way in the pocket. Also keeps the tips clean.

Anyhow, nothing fancy here, but I thought folks might like to see it, since we discuss the subject every so often.

I just bought one of these. I like it a lot, but it is stiff to start out with. I don't know how I'd get two speed strips into it, but it must be possible.

Much better than just letting the speed strip float around in a random pocket.

It really has proven to be an extraordinarily useful piece of gear.

I use an old cell phone case for 2 spd strips...it works, keeps the ammo clean and easy to access. I carry my spare ammo on the weak side and load with my weak side hand.

Off duty I use an old double dump pouch with .38's in the speed strips. At work, I just carry a speed strip in my right front pocket with my Wayne Goddard design Spyderco clipped in. Needing to get to the speed strip at work would mean that I ran through 30 rounds of .357 Magnum (six in my duty gun and four speedloaders) and emptied my back up (five rounds of .38 in my Model 37).

I just put them into a pocket, but what with 4 pockets to contain wallet, gun, comb, keys, cell phone, and speed strip multiple things end up in the same pocket.

The other day, I had my speed strip in with my keys, and when I pulled out the keys the speed strip was stuck to the keys ended up on the ground.

Fortunately this happened on my front porch so no harm done.

But it could be embarrassing. Not to mention untangling the speed strip from the keys in an emergency would be a problem

I never put anything into the pocket with the gun, but if I dedicate a pocket to reloads, I end up with all the rest of this sh$t in the other two.

I carry my 642 in RF pocket (generally) a SAK in the LF with 1 speedloader and a very thin wallet in my RR pocket. That's it, no comb, and keys & phone are on my belt.

I carry strips 2 ways.
1. In a Gerber multi-tool pouch.
2. On a dog tag chain under my shirt.

I carry 2 bianchi speed strips of .357 135gr hollowpoints in each of the four main pants' pockets. 2 hks speedloaders of same ammunition in vest or jacket pockets.

I carry a model 60-14 outside the waistband in a bianchi model 57 "remedy" holster.

Well after all this time, my thread came back alive.

I might as well tell what I ended up doing.

I adopted the watch pocket idea, using the watch pocket on the same side as the gun when wearing pants with only 4 large pockets.

The other pants I wear are cargo type with lots of pockets so no problem.

After a few years of carrying, I've concluded no one pays attention to what I'm carrying, so I'm considering adopting a speedloader pouch on my belt. I no longer feel self-conscious about carrying.

I need to try these 511s. Do they have something like kaki pants that one could wear with a jacket? If I have to dress up, it becomes challenging to find a place to put everything.

I try to wear cargo or Carhartts work pants or shorts. The Carhartts have a pocket on the right thigh that works for speed strips or magazines. Obviously neither of these work for "dressing up" for a night on the town.

My friend found this in a cigar shop. Not sure what it's for. Fits 357 rounds

Here's something to consider with carrying speed strips (or any ammo for that matter): Lead exposure.

Lead is in the primers, it's in the slugs, and there's probably lead residue all over the brass. Lead, even in microscopic amounts, will poison children. It will also poison adults, and cause significant health problems for life.

Carry spare ammo in a dedicated case; don't carry loosely and exposed in a pocket. Everytime you touch ammo, hands should be thoroughly washed.

Lead exposure is no joke.
