Gym carry
For all you healthy types - do you carry at the gym? If so, how e.g. waist pack, IWB... ?

My workouts don't let me even carry a cell phone. No carry at the gym.

No. My workout won't allow it and I don't see how it would be comfortable. I think certain places arnt ment for carry (like in a swimming pool or in a cross fit session).

Gym carry
ImageUploadedByTapatalk1438221347.549856.jpghere is one way to do it. OC Spray gel type for indoor use
And here is another. My shield and Kahr for size comparison. Both work well in the smart carry. The pouch that does not have the pistol had instead the gear on top of the carry holster. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1438221562.158114.jpg

Usually a NAA 22 mini revolver in the front pocket of my shorts.
Sometimes a Kel-Tel .380 if I am wearing shorts with a pocket
that will hold it.

You didn't say impossible. You inferred you could do it. Please post a picture of the 1911 concealed in your Speedo's.

Oh, come on. Aren't you just a little curious? I returned to post only because of the faint hope the pic might have been posted.

I would be very interested in this as well. I go to the gym 4 or 5 times a week, so outside of my home and work, that is the place I spend the most time. I tried a S&W 642 in a Galco Ankle Glove, normally a very comfortable and inconspicuous rig, but in the gym environment, it wasn't quite cutting it. I thought about a fanny pack, and that might be able to go unnoticed at the YMCA, but at the other gym I work out in, there is a much younger, more image-conscious crowd, and absolutely no one wears a fanny pack. In any case, a fanny pack invariably becomes off-body carry because it gets too much in the way during exercises such as deadlifts, kettlebell swings, power cleans, and a whole host of other movements.
I did run across a product, a tubular waist pack, that looks more stylish and might fit something like a Beretta Pico in some kind of wallet holster: https://flipbelt.com. But I don't know if I could pull it off; it looks more like something a stylish, millennial girl/woman might wear, not for an old gym rat who still wears grey sweats and a T-shirt to work out in.
I also train at a BJJ gym about once a week, and I simply can't carry there. It has cubbies instead of a locker room, and carrying a pistol onto the mat would be decidedly bad form.

I am so rarely unarmed in public that I truly cannot recall the last time I was. Maybe 2004? I use a waist pack. The owner of my gym was a cop, and there are a few others that go there. I swim like a brick, so that issue will never come up, and frankly, I am way too old to even consider whether the sheeple will be offended, assuming that any of them have the observational skills to even figure out what might be in there.
On my vacation/ training trip, I carried every moment of the almost 6000 miles, from WA to Ohio to CA and home, and other than my fellow LE types, who would have been unkind to me if they caught me unarmed, not a sign than any one ever perceived it.

Last time I was in public unarmed was probably about the same time you were but with a few exceptions. Yesterday I needed to take a ride to NJ so obviously no gun. However I just can't picture being comfortable with a gun at the gym. Yes I know it's comforting not comfortable but at they gym it would just be uncomfortable. I would spend too much time adjusting and readjusting to get in any kind of meaningful workout. For instance, yesterday was all legs. Squats, front squats, box jumps, step ups, leg curls. And that was after the core exercises. I can't see carrying something in my pocket or in a....? The,day before that was running. The day before was cross training. That's weight as speed. Unless I can tape it to my forehead I don't see it happening and I'm actually not too concerned about the gym

Okay, not to be a jerk I'll reply to your question. I haven't been to a gym in 7+ years. My "work outs" are chores related to having livestock and general chores with some biking. For the chores and while doing the livestock it's normal EDC, when biking it's 642 in pocket with a 64 snub IWB, or sometimes just the 642 IWB depending on where I'm biking.

No because it's only swimming for me and it won't do me any good in the locker.
