Todays paper reported there are 200,000 carry permits in MN. There are approximately 5,422,000 adults 21 and older in MN. This does not include the retired LEOs who can carry with the retired cop qualification license.
It is a more diverse group with significant increase in women and minorities.
Sounds about right to me based on a figure I came across somewhere a few years ago that stated the number of concealed permit holders nationwide was approx 5% of the population that would be allowed to obtain a permit. Can't recall the source but the figure stuck with me for some reason.
