Hi, guys. Just wanted to get your thoughts on my new Alien Gear Cloak 3.0. I have uploaded 4 pictures. 2 of them holstered in the Alien Gear 3.0, 1 of them in my Incog G Code Kydex holster and 1 in a leather holster from The Holster Store.

I am concerned with the trigger guard cover on the 3.0. The trigger is slightly exposed. My other 2 holsters fully cover the trigger guard. Additionally, the pictures on Alien Gear's website shows a G43 with the trigger guard fully covered. Not sure why they would deviate from that design with the Shield.

Does anyone else own a 3.0 for their Shield? Does your holster expose the trigger like this?

Feeling disappointed, especially after the month long anticipation of waiting for it in the mail.

From the pics, while I CAN see the trigger, it doesn't look like it's exposed to the point of letting something get in there and snag/pull the trigger.

If you think the trigger needs to be covered more than it is, all you need to do is email the pic to Alien Gear and express your concern. They'll take care of it. They may ask you to return the holster, or they may simply send you a replacement Kydex 'shell' portion.

If it were me though, I'd simply heat up the Kydex with a Hair Drier and reshape it a bit so that the pistol sat a little deeper. It may take 15-30 mins, but I enjoy playing with Kydex.

While I don't believe you would have a problem with it the way it is I would prefer to see it covered a bit more myself.

My AGCT2 completely covers my trigger on the Shield 9MM. The rear of the trigger is recessed half the thickness of a pencil below the edge of the Kydex. Sorry no digital photo ability to help you with a comparison.

Thanks for your replies gentlemen. I appreciate the feedback. While I don't anticipate any issues either, this is one of those situations where hindsight 20/20 isn't really the ideal situation. That said, I think I will reach out to Alien Gear with my concern and see if they can fix the issue. I am sure they will as they have a 30 day money back guarantee.

How did you make out with this? I'm looking at getting this holster for my shield and wondering if your issue was resolved and if you like the holster.
