Default Day 1 review of Stealth Gear USA AIWB holster

I know, I know... "How much could you learn about a product in one day?" I think I put this holster through its paces today. I can't comment on durability or longevity, but I've only read good things, and it has a lifetime warranty. Lifetime.

Craftsmanship is excellent and tight. The gun fit is perfect. Build quality appears excellent.

No battle plan survives first contact, and today that meant that AIWB didn't work out. I either don't have the body type, or don't have the wardrobe, or maybe it will work out with my work clothes or during colder weather. But the holster slid right over to 5 o'clock and did its work fine.

I picked out the most wear inappropriate shirt I could, a dark grey t-shirt that was bought 10 lbs and "back when I worked out daily" ago. The picture of my front should show that it even prints my belly button. I then decided to do the worst possible things that would move or print the holster: riding bicycle, chasing/wrestling/carrying/re-shoeing my 2 yo, all in a crowded neighborhood and pizza store. The holster was comfortable throughout, practically disappearing on me. As long as my shirt didn't pull up too far (closest call was bending/squatting to put a shoe back on my daughter, with my back facing the line at the pizza shop) there was no worry of printing. The holster shifted a little due to its single clip design. I didn't mind this, as it would shift to a more comfortable position when sitting, and a very inconspicuous push with the back of my hand shifted it right back when standing up.

It was pretty hot tonight, and muggy. I didn't have anything on under my t-shirt, so the holster had skin contact the whole time. It is very comfortable due to its padded back and recessed screws. The material is breathable, and I didn't have a big area of sweat under it when I took it off.

The holster has several adjustment points. The clip can be moved significantly vertically, and rotates side to side to adjust cant. The side to side adjustment is where the shifting may occur, but it is designed for appendix carry, so it isn't a design flaw. Again, this didn't cause any issues with printing or shifting too much. I adjusted the tightness so that the gun stays in when held upside down. It was still very slick to draw, with little tension on my belt when doing so.

I'm very impressed, and if appendix carry works out with some of my heavier wardrobe or work clothes I will be through the roof. I think with their 30 day return policy there is nothing to lose trying one of their holsters out. I would hazard a guess they don't get many returns.

I will follow up in a few months with a long-term use review.

Price: $86 ($79 + $6 for shipping)

Lead time: 15 days. Ordered 7 Aug, delivered 22 Aug

Thanks for this review. I was not aware of the brand and am looking for an AIWB for another pistol, looks like they make one.

I have been carrying appendix for 5 years.

(All day, everyday and I am very active all day .. up and down and in and out of vehicle)

It took me three of those five years to fine a comfortable and stable appendix carry rig. For me the single clasp narrow appendix holster never worked for me. Much to uncomfortable and the holster shifts around all day due to the single narrow belt clip and is not stable enough for me. And I don't want to readjust the holster everytime I get up from sitting, or get in and out of a vehicle.

I found the perfect one for me and I hope this one will work for you and be your perfect fit.....We are all different and require different traits in our equipment.

Keep working with it.......and lets hope for the best.

If you have any interest in what worked for me...

Info for Appendix Carriers only......
