you know kids get steered to plastic semi autos. all their friends probably shoot them too.
i wonder how many of these kids ever even fired a nice revolver.
for you range guys, why not be nice n let some of the semi auto crowd fire a nice gun?
i think you would get some converts.
just holding my 15-4 was all i needed to love them.
it feels good n it feels natural..

I am NOT saying this is you. Old guys know how to shoot. But I notice the young-uns with the newfangled auto-loaders, what they miss, mostly, well, its the target.

I recently turned one of the guys at work on to the Ruger LCR. He wanted a bug and I had my 9mm at the time. He bought the 38 version.

I showed him my new Model 38 the other day, and he might slowly be going the way of a revolverholic before long

I don't think age has anything to do with what we carry, In fact i would think If i was old (I am 54) and disabled (I am not) one would carry some type of hi cap semi auto. Because in the event you have to use your weapon and your disabled you think you'd like the least complicated most rounds available weapon (If that makes sense) rather than firing 5 or 6 rounds you have the advantage of 9 10 or 15 rounds.
Having said the when Im in a suit (weddings funerals etc etc)
My 442 (No lock) or my Charter arms bulldog 44 special gets carried

I'm a shade under 75. I shoot and carried mostly 1911s for many years but now they are all gone and I shoot and carry S&W revolvers. Took me awhile to smarten up!

57 here. I carried a J-frame for more years than I can remember. The last few years I have been carrying a 1911. But, there are days when my J-frame comes out with me.
