It is nice to see a safe conclusion for all of the potential victims.

Can't just lay down.
Very glad no by-standers hurt, but standing up to the bad guys is needed to stop them. Can't let their ways be so easy to get away with. Good job folks.

One of the robbers guns was noted to be stolen from a home burglery. Isn't that against the law? 😞 Glad no good people were hurt!

Well, in South Carolina in the past two years, we have had a robber shot at a Waffle House in Spartenburg, a robber shot at a Waffle House in Charleston, and now one shot at a barbershop in Columbia. All by lawful carrying CWP holders. However, we have a democrat in Charleston who wants to take away ARs and pistols with high cap mags, you know, the same kind every cop in the state carries because we had a nut job do a church shooting. What is the difference between a church, a Waffle House, and a barbershop? Well, in SC unless you are a criminal, you can't carry a gun into a church. They are "gun free" zones. Barbershops are not.

Being a crook can be a very tough way to make a living. Good citizens doing a good job, probably saved someones life down the road in the future.

Good Guys (2), Bad Guys (-1). Great outcome in a very difficult situation. IMHO, the two good guys played that just right showing great restraint and cool heads. ................

'He said he watched a bullet fly over his head before running out the back and to Applebee’s to call the police.'
Good vision.
'Minutes later.'
Minutes ?!?!

I believe that you are mistaken. If you have permission of the governing body of the church (varies according to denomination),you're good to go.

It pained me to see how quickly, calmly and readily hands went up -- just a sad fact of life for many people, guys with guns walking in to steal.
Anyone catch how many rounds the good guy fired?

Those folks were very lucky, not so much for the armed robber... A few observations from watching the video:
** The shooter did a great job of keeping his cool, and waiting for the right moment to act, in a very chaotic situation.
** The guy in the back of the store was very lucky to still have his head on his shoulders. That bullet was a foot/foot and a half over his head when it came out of that dry wall!
** The shooter and bystanders were very lucky that the thug with the shotgun was a coward and turned tail and ran at the sound of the first shot. If he stood his ground, it would have been ugly for the others.
Anyway, this type of scene is repeated numerous times across our country every day. And these types of stories where armed citizens protect their lives will not make the mainstream media outlets. This does not fit their narrative. They don't want to talk about the number of people that save their lives with a firearm, just the number that are killed in "gun violence." Guess which number is exponential higher?!

We lived down there from '08-14 and i can say that there was more than one time that someone with a permit and was carrying was able to use their firearm to defend themselves and/or others in situations just like this one. And from i knew of the others, no charges against the good guy were ever brought.
From watching the barber shop vid it looks like the good guy seemed to handle it well and didnt panic and took his chance at an opportune time (thats what my minimal experience showed me anyway). Their being calm and perhaps having some training may have really helped in that situation; not to mention the bad guys not turning it into a shootout in that small of an area.
Glad to see it turned out as it did.

I'll remind everyone-
We don't do bare news links.
If you actually want to post a discussion, a news link is sometimes allowed.
However, we have no desire to be a "news index".
from the rules-
The following topics are restricted on this Board:
General NEWS links- very rarely. If you need every news story about every subject every day, hit one or all of the news boards.
Reasonable news links about our military, first responders, or guns might be acceptable.
News concerning political gun issues is acceptable in the 2nd Amendment forum.
This forum does not function as the Internet Newsboard Index.
Bare Links starting threads without comment or discussion won't survive.
Don't post a bare link and say "You gotta see this!".
Tell us WHY we need to see it with at least a sentence or two. Provide enough comment to explain what the link is about.
I should know what it is about before I click it.
News links may be deleted at the sole discretion of the Staff. If your link is gone, it is gone- period.
