Do you really carry ALL the time?
I certainly try to, but must admit that there are times when I don't have a firearm on me. It's rare, but it happens. I will say that when it does I do have one in the vehicle though. For what that's worth.
I am trying to fix that and carry all the time. It's a matter of finding the right gun and holster combo that works.
It's not simple. It depends on weather, dress and where you think you may be going.
I've come to realize that if I'm serious about it and don't become complacent, it becomes a habit.
Once it becomes a habit, its strange to be without.
I'm at that point now and will continue until its second nature to be armed.

My gun holds my pants up, really.
So guess the answer here...
and to add, I carry J frame - N frame 4".. a 908- 1006..1911's..
I have fun rotating all my guns into carry... so when I lock the safe leaving in the morning one goes in a holster and in appendix.

It usually pulls mine down a bit. Learned about a good gun belt because of it.

No...working in the yard, reading in my study, engaging in quiet time hobbies, I want to be free of the weight and the responsibility.

My government model 1911 and a spare magazine plus my pocket Bug and a spare magazine are carried from the time I get dressed until they go on the nightstand when I go to bed.

I carry IWB in appendix.. a full size gun fits right into the iliac crest and lays next to my junk.. and I can walk a mile and more(which I do daily with my dog) and never need to adjust my pants to signal carrying. I have the cheapest holsters and an $11 Walmart belt.

Yes unless I'm at home ...but there is one within arms reach. Or if I have to drive out of state for work. My office is 5 miles from NJ, 1.5 hrs from NYC and 1hr from Delaware. Occasionally I have to drive to one of those, 99.999% of the time it's NJ. At which point I leave my gun in the office. Of course if I run to the post office I leave my gun in the office too.
If I leave the house I am armed

The one and only place I do not carry is at work. I work at DFW airport and TSA frowns heavily on firearms on the secured side of the operations area.

I've gotten into the habit of carrying at least in my vehicles.I rarely actually carry on my person but it's always a consideration with all that goes on these days. When I do it's usually my Kimber1911 or a small revolver like the 3" 65 or 3" sp101. My wife frowns on me actually packing because she's always felt that if you have to carry you should'nt be there in the first place. I think she's revising her thoughts in that regard, cause we all know, it doesn't matter where you go anymore. That's a sad state of affairs but it's the truth.

Put my blue jeans on in the morning a t-shirt is next then I pick up my 40c in a Garrett Industries GX holster off the night stand and slip it over my belt at 5 o'clock position ..walk out into the kitchen and turn the coffee pot on ..
at about eleven at night I reverse the above only I get the coffee ready for the next morning and the go to bed ..
only time it leaves my hip is the few times I'm in a no gun zone which is usually once a week when I go and do my banking .. or I go to see the grand kids at one of their school concerts .. all 4 are in the band ..

If I go out I am carrying except when going to the post office. At home I have a gun within arms reach most of the time. And yes they are loaded.

Unless I'm going somewhere where I can't even have a gun in my car I do not walk out the door unarmed. When I'm at home it's sitting on the coffe table in front of me

Vote with your wallet...
Yes, I carry all the time, of course there are the "gun free zones"
where I can't. I spend as little time and money there, as possible.

Hardly ever on my person. I'm in and out of people's houses all day either fixing their TV's or computers.
But always in my vehicle.

Ankle carry a 442 to and from the office, all legal places its on me. I made that decision this year and have held to it. You do start to feel naked when without it.

I'd say 98% of when I'm awake. Sleeping- it's under the pillow next to me.

Your bank is a no gun zone?
Unless I'm mistaken banks are not mentioned in state law.
My bank does not have any signs.

I spent 39 years as an LEO and never left the house without at least one gun. Retired 2 1/2 years ago, still put a gun on with my pants every morning.

I didn't used to.
This is a quiet little beach town, nothing much ever happens. I'd go out for this or that and never even think about it. I'd carry most of the time, like at the beach, or at night, or when I'm out in the woods, but not 100% of the time.
Well, two weeks ago one of our police officers was shot and killed by a guy he was serving a warrant to. It drove home the fact that while this is a peaceful little town, there are bad guys out there among us.
Now, when I get dressed, my holster automatically goes on my belt, and when I go anywhere, my gun is in it.

One local bank put up the signs soon after the CCL law went into effect. I used to pay my electric bill there. Used to.
The young lady teller grinned sheepishly when I asked her if she thought that would prevent a robbery and said it was a corporate decision. The next nearest branch had been robbed the week before. Sign didn't stop him, but it did make me find a new bank.
Other than the locations (PO, court houses, certain other gov't facilities) where I must go and can't carry I have no reason NOT to carry and that is the operative question to me, not whether I feel I need to. Armed is the default condition.

I have good equipment that is comfortable. My holsters make it a non-issue to carry everywhere all day... even at home. My concept is getting into a habit is a good thing. Wearing a firearm is as habitual as wearing pants. Finding the gear that allows you to carry all day long is essential. Most folks have no clue I carry. I like it that way. Depending on clothing and circumstances I can carry a 1911, an N-frame, or a J-frame, but I do carry legally everywhere I can. Depending on your lifestyle... professional dress, casual, outdoors, formal attire, your firearm choice might have to change to fit the situation. Part of having a CCW is being able to carry in every situation. Make it a habit and never forget the places you, by law, cannot carry.

No photos, please. I avoid the post office. We have a private post office in a nearby strip mall/office building. I pretty much got over boycotting retailers that post against carry. I go in for my convenience. I consider it mostly a perceived liability thing, (granted there are exceptions). And no crime for doing so here, so I see no need to punish the employees; its enough tthey have to work in a gun free zone. I left it in the car when I went to a local venue to hear Bill Clinton give a speech a year or so back (humoring the girl friend, it was one of a speaker series). Should not have bothered; there was no security. I wonder if most of my fellow club shooters carry much. I don't believe in picking and choosing when to carry. Carry when I can. Laughably, my sis-in-law once asked "you wouldn't carry in a restaurant, would you". Here it is legal, as well as in bars and airports.
Next thread starter should be, who has a plan for a break-in, and does it involve avoiding a confrontation? Should I start that one, or has it been done?

There was a sign on the door of a store I went in a few days ago, it was something like this: "Guns allowed, if you have to use it please be a good shot".

The only time I am not carrying a gun is when I'm entering a location where I can't have one. And for me, there aren't very many of those . . .

There are roughly only 987657 concealed carry permit holders in the state of Texas. I feel obligated to be armed all day and everyday. Be safe out there.

Much of the time, sure. Both an acquired habit and a choice. Maybe even close to most of the time. Depends on many things.
I won't, however, refuse to go to certain places or engage in different activities simply because it's either not allowed (legally), or just not a good idea, to take a weapon.
Life isn't quite so black or white. Lots of grey (or gray, if you prefer that spelling, meaning even that is up for choosing ).
One way I acclimated to carrying more often on my own time was to go back to carrying smaller revolvers and pistols. It's a compromise in many ways ... but TANSTAAFL, folks.
The one thing that always remains the same? Me. Us. The user.
If you can't safely, properly, comfortably and effectively manipulate and use whatever it is you've chosen, when things get fast & fuzzy, are you really that much better off carrying it? I can't answer that question for anyone other than myself.
Choose wisely. Don't be afraid to reassess and reconsider choices and alternatives. Life is about choices. Making good ones seems to work out better at times, in both the short and long term.

Yes
Yes, 100% of the time, except when it would be illegal or impossible to do so. I always have a handgun in my car, too; I'm never totally unarmed but, last week as a "for instance", I went to a music concert at a sports arena, and I knew in advance they had metal detectors so I left my guns in the car. No choice = no choice = no gun.
I did carry a weapon but it was not going to go bang and is undetectable by metal detectors. Totally legal.

I'm armed whenever I leave the house. Visited Philly last summer and went to a museum, but had to leave the gun behind while there. I was very uncomfortable w/o it.

Like many others here I carry anywhere I can, I do not patronize businesses that doesn’t want my firearm in their store.
Here in Ohio are some forbidden carry zones, which are covered in the Ohio Attorney General’s website some of these places I have to go into occasionally such as government buildings so I disarm at the car.
I do not necessarily cary in the house, but there is always a loaded firearm within arms reach.
This is serious business, there is no point in jumping through the hoops of obtaining a ccw license if you aren’t going to carry. As for working outside yep I’m armed.
I carry a spare tire in my cars as well.

No, most of us don't really carry all the time in a literal sense. I always have one in my truck right next to my right hand (if I'm in the truck). I also always have several around the house at arm's length (no little kids live in my house). I do always carry in my church where I preach. Aside from that, if I find myself going into a mall, shopping center, grocery store, etc my car gun goes into my pocket.
