In Missouri, it's a Concealed Carry Permit, the possession of which exempts one from several statute subsections:
4. Subdivisions (1), (8), and (10) of subsection 1 of this section shall not apply to any person who has a valid concealed carry permit issued pursuant to sections 571.101 to 571.121, a valid concealed carry endorsement issued before August 28, 2013, or a valid permit or endorsement to carry concealed firearms issued by another state or political subdivision of another state.
(1) Carries concealed upon or about his or her person a knife, a firearm, a blackjack or any other weapon readily capable of lethal use; or
(8) Carries a firearm or any other weapon readily capable of lethal use into any church or place where people have assembled for worship, or into any election precinct on any election day, or into any building owned or occupied by any agency of the federal government, state government, or political subdivision thereof; or
(10) Carries a firearm, whether loaded or unloaded, or any other weapon readily capable of lethal use into any school, onto any school bus, or onto the premises of any function or activity sponsored or sanctioned by school officials or the district school board; or

In NY, my permit says "License to Carry Pistol is Hereby Granted"(commonly called "Pistol Permit"). All handguns must be registered here and there are also permits that allow ownership, but not concealed carry.
So we have varying degrees of infringement.

In Kansas it's a CCH = Concealed Carry Handgun which eliminates other weapons.
However Kansas has passed Constitutional Carry since implementing the CCH law.

Here in Idaho right now it is called a concealed weapons license; as of
July 1, 2016 in Idaho you won't need a license to carry concealed.
However, having a concealed weapons license makes it a lot easier and
faster to buy a gun here in Idaho.

In Virginia, one doesn't need a permit/license to openly carry (the Constitution preserves that liberty), so one is issued a Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP) if we don't want to advertise the fact.

Mississippi
In Mississippi it is called Firearms Permit. It looks like our Drivers License, but a little different color. You may obtain an enhanced endorsement, which allows you to carry your firearm into areas that are usually not allowed to carry, except for certain situations. I am a 100% disabled combat vet, which means no license is needed, or if I want a license, there is no charge.

Sorry but it wasn't Vilsack who was already Secretary of Ag. in 2010; it was the dumbest governor we've ever had ....Chet Culver.

As a former law enforcement officer, I am entitled to 50-state concealed carry under US House Resolution 218. I must qualify with my former agency or a local department annually, providing my own firearm and ammunition. This program is called the Law Enforcement Officer Safety Act (LEOSA) and is open to active and retired LEOs.
