Default Not sure where to ask question about insurance

A few days ago someone asked about comparisons among firearms/self-defense insurance providers. I saw a comparison chart but I forgot where I saw it. Can anyone here provide something similar to that? Still looking for that chart on the WWW.

NRA for firearms insurance and a 1M general personal liability policy from your homeowners company. I would never mention "self defense" insurance...

Ken, I think you'll find that the umbrella policy offered by homeowners insurance companies will exclude coverage of "intentional" acts such as a self defense shooting in your home or out.

This is why there are various PLI policies out there.

I like what USCCA offers but in the comparison chart I saw, I think CC Safe or some name like that seemed to offer more. In fact, it is that company that I'm seeking. The comparison chart seemed to display that particular company as the best in all that these kinds of insurance companies have to offer. And it wasn't sponsored by that company or any other.

@egm,

First off be careful of the scare tactics to get you to buy it and realize none, that is none, will ever pay your legal fee's entirely, most are only referral's. Some might provide some financial help.

There is only one I really looked at it's a committee that even Massad Ayoob sits on and they decide if your case is worth getting involved in but even then it's very limited.

It's not like car insurance, it's to risky and no traditional insurance company's want anything to do with guns.

Bottom line, if you own tangible things it might benefit you because the odds are even if cleared you will be sued in civil court.
The other option is to get any of those tangible things out of your name, provided you have people you can trust but even family can be shady.

Best thing, #1 keep your mouth shut to the police until you get representation, say what you have to, but don't get to involved in details because anything you say can be used and twisted against you in court.

The laws need to be changed in this country because it's getting very slanted towards the criminals and the families looking for the quick payday.

Certainly all of it is no easy task if you are involved in a defensive shooting, adrenaline running a mile a minute and so on. And most of what we learn goes right out the window.

And remember if it ends up before a jury they are not our peers. Hand picked by the DA and most based off how stupid they are and even sometimes how prejudiced they are.

By the time it's all said and done you may turn the gun on yourself.
We have never had any real rights in this country to begin with, merely a set of privileges subject to be revoked at any time.

Do everything in your power to avoid ever using that gun. And there is no shame in running away.
