Default USCCA Self-Defense Shield membership- worth it?

I am currently waiting for my CCW permit in FL-it has been 1 week since I applied to Tallahassee Dept of Agriculture and I am wondering if anybody here can vouch for or review the membership insurance benefits that I would need to use from USCCA in case, God-forbid, I would need to use my weapon in a self-defense situation, and kill or mame the perpetrator. If USCCA Self Defense Shield insurance and membership is NOT your personal choice for this kind of insurance, which self-defense insurance company would you use, or have you used, and why do you consider it the best value?

Also, has anybody here on this forum used this particular membership in a self-defense situation where you needed to use your weapon for self-defense, seriously injuring or killing someone??

Thank you. As a new gun owner I want to do everything right.

I am not a member of any conceal carry insurance plan. I do have a lawyer identified, not retained, just in case. I have read that Mas Ayoob is on the board of a competing organization but forum rules prohibit me giving you the link. It shouldn't be too hard to research.

Congratulations on your decision to be a responsible gun owner!
