Does anyone carry a 3" model 37?
Trying to figure where this gun fits.
It's nice and light, but hard to fit the longer barrel in a pocket.
As a waistband holster gun, a little more weight for a steel j frame would be ok.

Had one for years....... gave it to my wife.......when she got her cc permit.
Frankly never got carried...... finally traded it off for a 2" Model 10-7.
Seems like a great idea in concept...light, longer sight radius ..... but practically.....??????????

My 37 is a 3" and I carried it for my main CCW for many years!
Great handgun and I still have it!

It would make a nice light weight belt gun. Some days the old back can't take a lot of extra weight so, beside my pocket 442 I'll put a 37 or a 442 AIWB.

I had a 3" Model 36 for awhile. It was a handy little J-frame S&W.

A long time ago I did carry a 3" M36 SB (same gun but steel instead of alloy) and it was a really accurate and easy shooting gun. What made me give it up (still own it though) was I wanted a 2" RB for pocket carry - however when carried in a OWB / belt holster there was little difference between the 2 and 3 inch barrels.

Nearly every day.
Sometimes in a home made pocket holster.
Sometimes in a Lobo belt holster.
It is so much easier to shoot well than a 2" gun.
It looks like hell, but it is tight and shoots well.
Paid about $185 for it a few years back.

I've been carrying a 3 inch 37 and 36 occasionally. They conceal just as easy IWB as 2" barrel with better balance and ballistics. That said, it took me about 20 years to warm up to the 3" J frames. Always looked right past them. My mistake. These are great.
I use a TT Gunleather KX Lightweight IWB holster for the 3" J
Here is the 36...all business
Here is the 37...a little more old school

Sometimes, and everything from a Model 65, Model 37, and a chopped 25-2 (not counting autos).
A three inch tube is fast and easy to hit with too.

I am not a fan of IWB holsters. That said, I bought a Lobo IWB for a 3" J frame that has the off set belt clip. That makes a world of difference in the width of the rig and is extremely comfortable.
