More concerned about the 80# soaking wet teenage girl walking her 100# Rottweiler, German Shepherd, big dog! If that dog decided to go after mine that girl is along for the ride. Also we have foxes. I don't mind as they typically see you and run away but on the off chance that there is rabid one. Otherwise the most dangerous thing around here are soccer moms in their Porsche/Lexus/VW/Denali SUVs

I switch between the Smith 442 and Smith Shield. I carry both in either Desantis owb with a loose shirt or sweater or Crossbreed Belly Band. Both are loaded with Hornady Critical Defense.

A 1966 Stainless Charter Arms Undercover.
5 shot, all stainless.
It has a special place with me as it came into action, and saved me from being shot in the After action sweep of the Watts Riot.

A 637-2, exposed hammer in an Uncle Mikes. I think the concerns about snagging an exposed hammer is a lot of over thinking.

My pocket carry is a S&W 642 in a Mika pocket holster loaded with Speer 135 grain GDHP +P. Anything larger goes on the belt.

This 640 in Galco pocket holster. Usually the old FBI 158gr LSWCHP+P, if you want a lighter package the the Hornady 110gr CD +P. I don't find the weight an issue over my previous 442.

I had to pull it out of my pocket to remember the model. It is S&W 640 with a 3" barrel and a Hogue grip. I put a handkerchief underneath it to break up the outline and the longer barrel keeps it from getting stuck in the bottom of my pocket. Always loaded with Golden Sabres+P. Carrying it naked like this keeps it polished nice and shiny.

Hello, if I have cloths on I have a NNA 22mag in my pocket. My next pocket gun is a ruger LCR 38spl. I own a terrier, mod 36,and a mod60. That could be pocket guns. But lite is good!

Interesting. I read on another thread or maybe another forum where someone claims the Glock 19 is the most common.

340 PD with .357 Speer 135 gr Gold Dot Short Barrel ammo in a Galco Horsehide pocket holster. Sometimes I carry something else, but this is it 95 % of the time.
Interestingly, my Detective Special will fit in the same holster. A little heavier, but has six rounds vs five. Use Speer .38 Spl +P 135 gr Gold Dot Short Barrel for this one:
Best Regards, Les

It is like backpacking, you carry all that need for the trip, but not all that you want. If I go into a 7-11 at 11:25 PM I plan to go home with my Pepsi and mint paddy and my life. That sir is ambitious.

Seriously.....!!!!!.....?????
You pocket carry that 686? Seriously...!!!!!....??????
I'd really like to know what you wear (and how you wear it), to be able to pocket carry that 686.

S&W 642 in a DeSantis Nemisis.
In the middle 1990's I pocket carried my Colt Pony (can't remember when I bought it for sure, maybe 1996 (?). As I remember they only made them for a year or two) for a few years, but decided I was better with my 642's, so off to the safe the little Colt went.

My S&W's 442-2 .38 SPL.+P, 638-3 .38 SPL.+P & Taurus M85 UL .38 SPL.
I just added the S&W M&P BG .38 SPL.+P. I rotate these when ever i feel like changing up using a Uncle Mike's #3 holster.

There is only one perfect revolver for pocket carry. The 649-2 in 38 special. Others need not apply.

642 in a Blackhawk #3. The only time I pocket carry is in a jacket or Carhart vest. I find the cylinder too uncomfortable to carry in my jeans. If I'm not carrying my BG.380 the 642 will be in a Galco Summer Comfort or Ankle Glove.

S&W 642 (no dash, not plus P) in a pocket holster. Loaded with Buffalo Bore 158gr LSWHP, Critical Defense or some left over 125 gr Nyclads. Not sure of the holster brand. Pistol has a sweet trigger job with an 8lb pull. Surprised to see so many people carrying sub smiths

I tried pocket carry with a horsehide pocket holster with my 642... did not like it, at all. When I carry my 642 it is in a Front Line paddle holster.
