Defense of third parties

Somewhat incredible, an idiot is beating up a police officer he already shot, a driver stops, asks the officer if he needs help, officer replies in the affirmative, driver goes back to his car, gets his gun, tells the idiot to stop, the idiot continues to beat the police officer, good guy shoots him.
And that's what is known as a justifiable homicide in defense of a third party.

Yes! About sixty miles west of me on I-10. Have heard the Trooper is in stable condition.

The AP reporter still felt the need to insert an anti-gun swipe, with his "loose regulations" comment.

My wife opted out of going shopping that day. Had she gone she would have been caught up in the traffic mess. We're 30 miles from I-10 mile marker 81. Once in I-10 E she would have had no place to turn around with the west bound lanes closed just a few miles ahead.
So glad the Trooper will make it.

I drive past that spot on my way to Ice Hockey once a week. The Arizona State Troopers, as they are called now, do a thankless job of keeping us safe on the Highways. Thank God a good guy with a gun stopped a bad guy with a gun. Arizona is a Constitutional carry state the anti-gun crowd said there would be blood running in the street. I bet that Trooper is grateful the good guy had the Constitutional right to carry a firearm.
