Default It can happen anywhere-anytime

Friends of mine who live in a high end neighborhood returned home one night and pulled their vehicle in the garage, by the time he turned the car off, two sh** heads had guns on he and his wife. The next couple of hours were horrific, they were threatened, beaten etc. etc. the wife has still not recovered completely. My point is-- we never know and pulling in our garage is just another vulnerable spot.

Very unfortunate incident that certainly is dramatizing!
Situational awareness should always be in play along with your firearm at the ready. You don't need to always be paranoid, skittish, scared, etc......but, ALWAYS BE AWARE!!!!

I'm pretty sure that is an old staged scene. Been around awhile.

I'm sorry for your friends trauma and pray for a full recovery. It must be an absolutely awful experience.

My husband is fanatical about keeping shrubs around the house trimmed and the property illuminated to eliminate potential hiding places. He also let's me out before he pulls into the garage so I can be his armed "lookout" until he parks. Growing up poor in NYC has made us perpetually cautious, even in "good" neighborhoods.

Guess we were neighbors up north and now down south.
(And ditto on the upbringing in NYC.)

I've never lived in an area that has so many "small world" connections as this area does. The retired NYPD who patrols my neighborhood in Greenville, was my son-in-laws partner in Manhattan, when he first joined the force.

Good reminder!

Garages, doorways, around corners, in/out of cars, anywhere a person's attention is split, lighting changes or whatever is a vulnerable spot.

I claim no particular expertise, just read about these kinds of attack and that's where they happen.

Best to your friends!

Bummer to hear what happened to your friends, but glad they are doing better now. There are scum everywhere, and there is no way of flushing all the stuff down the drain.
There are a great deal that can be gotten for home security now. They range from motion detectors, to sound detectors. These can be paired up with many app's etc.

Being prior military, I am ALWAYS on high alert. Best to keep y powder dry, and a steady finger on the trigger.

Thank you,
