That is a Front Line. A Hybrid of kydex covered with leather and it is lined. I have other J Frame holsters, but, I use this one the most.

Off-duty, the S&W Model 12-2 Airweight is my primary carry and the S&W Model 642-2 Centennial Airweight is my backup.
The Model 12-2 is carried in an old Bucheimer Concealer.
The Model 642-2 rides in a pocket holster.

I mostly carry my Sig P226 in 357sig. It's very accurate and fits my hand perfectly. I also on occasion carry a 442 or a Springfield Operator.

Either a 686 3" with Silvertips in a Lobo IWB or a Colt Commander with Golden Sabres in a Milt Sparks SS.

I guess I carry my old Model 60 in 38 special most of the time. It just feels right to me. I inherited it from my stepfather. He was a retired LEO. He retired around 1986. He was shift commander and wore civies most of the time and this 60 was his off duty and duty gun for many years, so it has some sentimental value for me as well as it just being a solid and reliable defensive handgun. I don't know what year it was born, I'm guessing around early 1970s.
I also carry a Glock 26 on days I feel particularly randy.
If I happen to be dressed light or really don't want anyone to know I'm carrying, I'll have my LCP in my pocket.

Usually a big guy with one of the little guys and a knife of some sort.
If it must be discreet perhaps just a J or two.
This is my favorite combo these days.

That boot gripped, tapered barreled N frame actually carries very well, but it's use is minimized in order to preserve the finish. The rest are more or less tools to me.
That one, the full size 1911, and the Airweights are my favorites to shoot.

I used to carry a 2.25" sp101 then changed to a Gen 3 Glock 23 for the sole fact I could shoot it far more accurate. I then picked up this Gen 2 Glock 17 and love the lack of finger grooves. This is my sole carry gun and I will only be changing when I find a Gen 2 Glock 19. These people who alternate between a revolver, SA hammer fired handgun with a safety, and then a striker fired polymer handgun with no safety must have great muscle memory and a lot of experience in the field to know they won't "forget" what they need to do if they ever need it. For me it's just point and shoot, same handgun every time. Loaded with 124+p HSTs and backed up by a Streamlight Stylus Pro and a Ganzo G704

At this moment its a Glock G27 Gen4 with Lone Wolf 9mm conversion barrel, Kineti Tech flat faced trigger, and +3 Hyve extension, with spare 17 round G22 mag in leather.
My favorite setup so far, and one I'll probably stick with.

Sig P228 on a Bianchi ankle holster
Btw, in case you're wondering, I made the stick-on rail on a CNC machine. Works really well. I wanted a rail but the commercial ones are huge, ugly and cumbersome.

I carried a BHP backed up by a M36 for over 40 years. Now in retirement I carry a 649-2 in a Mika pocket holster. I do have some Glasers but mostly I load it with the old standard 158 gr. My old favorite was the 200 gr Super Police, but that is no longer around.

For me, it used to be the ubiquitous J-frame, but nowadays it's a .45 Shield.
As for why, it's comfortable to carry, reliable, and accurate, which gives me a high degree of confidence with it. It's also highly corrosion resistant, which is a plus.

Too much. I just emptied my pockets . . .
The LC9s isn't always in a pocket holster. Sometimes it's IWB at 4 o'clock or maybe a little later.

You'd probably have an easier time, and make your pants last longer, if you just closed the knife.

Lately it's been a 6946, but I also rotate in a 3913 or 4013TSW from time to time. When I have to be really light it is a PPK/S.

With the colder months I have been carrying my kiddo around a lot so he won't slip on the ice. And then on my right side it's usually my shield 40. But sometimes I will shoulder carry my Glock 22

As of right now all I own is my SD9VE, so that is what I carry. When on duty as an armed security officer the gun is in a safariland GLS 578, and when carrying concealed (only about a week into my time as a ccw holder) the holster used is an alien gear cloak tuck 3.0.. although I'm sure the SD will be replaced as the EDC once I buy another (I'm sure will be easier once I get the GF hooked on guns)

I carry one weapon year round. Its the most reliable of them all and I shoot it well. S&W M&P Performance Center Shield 45 with CTC Laserguard (due out in late March) and Hi-Viz sights. No manual safety.

I like to carry the best thing that will always work.
I don't want to lose the best, most expensive ones I own though.
So, I have finally worked things down to those that work, those that don't cost a fortune, and those that can be easily replaced.
That left the S&W 442/642, Glock 19/17/36, and a kind of banged up 2.5" 66.
For very concealed it's the Ruger LCP, LC9 or a Sig938.
There are certainly others, but those are what I have to choose from and can do without for a while but still have a good firearm that's dependable for self defense.

I carried my 642-1 today and my 686+ yesterday. I felt like my revolvers needed a little personal attention. Can't have them feeling neglected.
I even ordered the big boy a new holster for AIWB. He'll be so happy. (But don't worry, the little guy's got a Mika on order. )

M&P340 b/c my comfort level is higher w/a revolver. I'm retired, no longer go in harm's way and my daily travels are pretty tame. I carried a tiny .380 for awhile but I just trust the thirty-eight more.

Somehow, I knew you'd come back around...

I'm surprised that so far I'm the only one that has put forth a 3rd gen Smith semi-auto for carry.
My 3914DAO serves me well when thin and light is desired. The 4040PD is a good choice when a step up in power seems appropriate. I've just acquired a 457 to give me the option of a big fat bullet.
