Look, if these people can't understand how a loaded double action revolver is a danger to no one and they CANNOT discharge spontaneously unless left in a locked car, in direct sunlight, on Venus, then they are genuinely terrified of firearms and would be totally unwilling to use one (read: pull the trigger) in a situation that warranted it. Couple that with the logistical nightmare of retreating to the firearm's location, unlocking and loading it all while under stress and unfamiliarity with the gun.

If these people are afraid to even fire a gun at a range, then they have no where near the mindset required to actually use one in defense. Having a 20 gauge SxS around would be no different than that Model 13.

Tell them to grow up and face reality or get a bat. I always preferred maple, myself.
