Default Paper targets

Exactly like the ones that you shoot at when taking a CHL class. They are pretty large. Anyone know where I can order some online?

I make mine out of cardboard boxes. To refresh I cut brown paper sacks to fit and glue. Aiming points are contrasting color 2" post it notes.

8" paper plates and draw bulls eye with a Sharpie highlighter. I'm too cheap to buy targets, but not too cheap to spend $7-$800 on a pistol I like.

Your location being Texas, a quick Google search shows that the target Texas uses is a B27, a human-shaped silhouette target that measures 45" high and 24" wide. They are widely available.

I've used the human silhouette target like they use in classes and also used my own target, a 2 1/4" black square with a 1" white circle in the center, printed on regular letter-sized copy paper. Works well at any reasonable distance, even up very close, though I only shoot it at 25 yards with handguns.

The axiom "aim small, shoot small" generally works well. Too large an aiming point will increase group sizes for most people. Granted, one doesn't need particularly tight groups for defensive practice, but small groups are never a disadvantage.

Just a suggestion and not worth a debate.

Try targets.net. I get several buddies to go in together and place an order. We split the cost and shipping. You won't be disappointed.t

Try printing your own targets (for free) at ... http://www.targets.ws/ (just one of quite a few other target sites online)

You can get them at WalMart or Academy here in a pack of 10. I ordered a case of 100 from amazon a few years back. They probably still have them available as well.
