Default New Hampshire initial issue turn around time?

Hello! Out of curiosity, does anyone have an idea on how long New Hampshire is taking from receipt of application to issuance of non-resident CFPs?

Thanks for your help!

The statute says the state police has 14 days. You don't need a permit to carry a concealed pistol or revolver in NH anymore.

I could be mistaken, but I believe a non-resident needs a permit to carry CONCEALED in NH, but can open carry without one.

You are wrong. Con Carry is for NRs as well as Residents, same rules for all, no license needed.

To answer the OP, NR licenses can take 2-6 weeks depending on their work load and vacations.

I believe that statute requires the local issuing authority to make a decision within 14 days. AFAIK, the state police only issue non resident permits and I don't recall there being a time limit.

And yes, NH is now a permitless carry state for residents and non residents alike. As is ME, for that matter, although having a permit does give one a few perks, such as not having to inform an officer if you are carrying.

I'd would still consider getting the non-resident permit as some other States may honor the New Hampshire permit and may not honor your home State.
