I also wear t-shirts and hats from high performance auto parts companies, tractor companies, and all kinds of other businesses, even some that I had made up with the name of my own farm on them. I wear them at shooting matches, training and qualifying days, when working around my place, drag races, car shows, to the grocery, hardware, and feed stores, Wal-Mart. Pretty much wherever I feel like it. I also open carry fairly often because when I'm working outside it's easier and more comfortable than concealed and that often turns into errands to this store or that, or the gas station, or down to the town landing, or any number of other places. And, I know plenty of other people that do the same. Of course, that's not the entirety of my wardrobe and I don't wear those things all the time, but more often than not, when I'm on my own time, that's how I'll dress.
Does that make me classless or immature or mean that I'm trying to show how tough I am? Of course not, it simply means that I own lots of shirts and hats with different logos and printing on them and that's what I like to wear. Your presumptions about folks that wear themed t-shirts are ignorant and you're drawing conclusions about people you don't know based on nothing but the shirt they might be wearing. That's ridiculous.

Exactly right and well said!

Nothing like the OP posted, but on occasion I proudly wear NRA, gun manufacture, or pro 2A t shirts.

One of my daughter's friends asked if I wore a suit all the time since I was an FBI agent. She laughed and said my Dad wears the same thing every day - jeans, a Simpsons tee shirt with an unbuttoned Hawaiian shirt over it, and a Beretta hat. She scrolled to the first picture of me on her phone, held it out, and said look for yourself.
I wear my Beretta hat because I like it. Only a few folks have commented (positively) on it. Most people are pretty clueless. Don't overthink this stuff.

This doesn't have much to do with what we were wearing but it did attract some attention.
One fine summer day my sister and her fiance were over for a cookout.
No big deal right?
My sister looks Asian, her fiance was a black man, my wife's a white Italian and I look every bit like the Injun I am.
I'd catch the small town West Virginia hillbillies peeking around the corners looking at us.
I nearly laughed out loud.

I am 63 years old have lived in New Mexico most of my life. Since retirement 11 years ago I have split my time between NM, Arizona and now Michigan. I am an Endowment Life Member of the NRA and a Life member of the American Legion. That said Yes, I do do occasionally wear NRA shirts and hats, Legion shirts/ hats and occasionally a hat and or polo from my old department. I am also a life long Chicago Cubs fan and I do wear Cubbies shirts and hats on occasion. I have stickers for all the above on the rear window of my SUV. I also carry concealed daily. I have never been harassed or targeted and go about my daily business in the Detroit suburbs without any problems at all. I really don't think the average citizen really gives a damn or notices what we are wearing. They just are not that observant. We who are into guns notice this but the sheep don't.
Finally I do not appreciate being called classless and immature because I choose to wear what I want.

Be careful, you could become a target in some parts of the country like St. Louis.

I dress business casual during the week, with a shirt that is loose enough to hide a gun. The only times I wear gun-related clothes are at the range. I wear a S&W hat at the outdoor range to keep my bald spot in the shade. On weekends I wear plain solid-color T-shirts.

Gun shirts at the range and in my yard. Plain cloths everywhere else, I'm just a "fly on the wall".
