Do y'all wear clothes that make it obvious that you're into guns and the like? I tend to prefer the "grey man" principal and not draw attention to myself.

This kind of thing kinda bothers me. First off it is immature and shows no class. Second if you need to tell people what a tough guy you are, then you're not. Also it is never a good idea to tell the opposition (anti-guns, criminals) what your hand is.

Most of all, like open carrying AR-15s into fabric stores, it gives people who would otherwise be unconcerned, a reason to be in favor of (or at least not oppose to) gun control.

I imagine a politically moderate, single mother picking up her kids from school seeing a red-neck wearing something like this and feeling nervous that he is hanging around her kids. She may not have cared before.

I wear nothing that signifies my politics, gun ownership, gun affiliations or military service.

I just want to swim with the rest of the salmon.

Well, you are in coastal Oregon ........and I'm not.
I don't wear such t shirts as you show, but American flags and NRA hats are the common norm here.
I graduated from UW in Seattle years ago, and I noticed how bigoted and intolerant the "progressive liberals" were of any ideas other than their own. I parked my car off campus because they were vandalizing any with military base access stickers on them parked on campus.

My philosophy is I don't advertise anything and I don't volunteer anything.
And I only let people know what I want them to know, or believe.

I may disagree with the folks that wear their views on the outside like that, but they don't generally concern me. It seems to be the quiet introverts that never caused any trouble that blow a gasket.

No. No gun clothes. No hats or fanny packs. No signs on my house and no bumper stickers or decals on my car.

I'm just a gray haired guy that wants to be unnoticed and left alone.

Same here - however I am in a considerably more conservative, gun friendly part of Oregon and it is common to see this stuff.

Wranglers, pocket tee shirts, boots and I do have a NRA cap I wear sometimes. I open carry 98% of the time, so what I wear doesn't mean much anyway.

Much more conservative I would say. I used to live in Bend years ago. Miss it. Can't take any chances around here.

I lived and worked on the family ranch for 20 years after leaving LE.
Not one member of my extended family other than my wife ever suspected I carried a concealed hand gun.. There were times I wore one open carry on extended cattle drives, but otherwise no one knew a thing.

I moved to town and only my wife and trusted friends, (and the whole internet) know I carry one now.

When interviewed by the reporters after-the-fact. What do they say, some variation of "He was such a quiet one, we never suspected he would do such a thing!"

I see these kind of shirts every day. They are quite popular here. I would never wear one, but I support your right to wear what you want to - as long as you wear SOMETHING.

Wranglers, long sleeve button up shirt, Stetson model 54, black or silver belly, boots or moccasins, knife in belt holster and IWB holster/gun with shirt tail pulled up and tucked around gun butt,(OWB holster/gun if I'm wearing a down vest or coat), everyday. Don't need to advertise.

I might wear a gun related shirt to a shooting event or other gathering of gun folks. But for everyday wear, no.
But I don't have a problem with those that do. It lets me know who to keep an eye on.

I do not care what others do in terms of their need to advertise.

When I am hiking or trekking I wear synthetic cargo pants and shirts that wick away moisture and dry fast. I open carry on the belt with a holster that has a thumb strap and a pocket for an extra magazine. That is what happens maybe 30 days a year for me.

When operating in day to day life in the urban/suburban environment I wear jeans and in summer a polo shirt of wicking fabric. In cooler weather I add a vest and long sleeve wicking shirt. In cold I add outerwear.

I carry IWB with an extra mag in a IWB holder. I do not need to tell people I have a gun on my person. In fact, I would rather no one but me knows it except for the BG who might find out the hard way.

I carry for self defense not to make a political statement. While I am an avid 2A supporter I do not think advertising my opinion by open carry or tee shirts or other apparel is the way to promote 2A rights. In fact I think it is detrimental to the cause.

I do not need to portray myself as a tough guy by showing my handgun, knife or rifle. They say more than a visible gun can say. But I prefer to say nothing. There is one exception. I always wear a small pin on my shirt that has the American Flag crossed with the USMC Flag. It is about 3/8 inch wide. It portrays my identity more than any gun could.

I live in Arizona, everybody is armed, constitutional carry makes everyone even. No t-shirts , bumper stickers or hats for me.

I just don't care what other people wear, I also don't care if they get their knickers in a wad because of what I wear. I learned a long time ago life is much more enjoyable when I mind my own business.

For me that kind of clothing is more for the range than everyday activities. But I see plenty of guys with clothing related to the NRA, hunting, or with phrases like "Don't Tread on Me" or "Molon Labe" and I've never heard of anyone having a problem as a result.

I wear camouflage when CC'ing in public... that is, applying my self-imposed rule of "Wolf In Sheep's Clothing", which I've been doing for over 40 years. Everyday wear is jeans, 8" laced boots, T-shirt loose at the waist, and a fairly long shirt left unbuttoned for max concealment. I don't do suits, so, formal wear for me is an unbuttoned sport coat, which provides adequate cover.

Very few people know that I carry, and I want to keep it that way. Just your average guy on the street.

TOO MANY Hillary 2016 Tee shirts I got on the cheap to use the good stuff. Seriously My only pro gun wear might be a SIG hat, & if they know what that is they are probly on our side anyway.

All I have to go by is my experience. My experience was in 2003 I put a political bumper sticker on my car and someone vandalized the car. The damage to the vehicle centered around the bumper sticker so I have to assume that's what drove it.

Similarly I've had people make comments on the logos on clothes I've worn, including one woman who chased me around Walmart prattling on endlessly about "Ralphie" (CU Buffs Mascot) because I was wearing a CU hat.

I've also watched random people give me the once over when I wore my NRA hat shopping at Walmart or to church.

My experience has also been that all that ended when I changed my style of dress.

When I'm out I observe the people around me and when I see a "tell" (Glock hat, Kimber logo on the shirt, Rigger belt, 5.11 pants) I look a little closer and I almost always "see" a gun. I'm certain I'm not the only person who does that. Someone on another forum said dressing like that sends a soft "quack" and I don't want to quack at people.

Now if you don't care if people know you're armed or that you're a gun guy that's fine, it's your life, dress how you want. But, understand that I do care and I choose not to advertise however obliquely.

Although I go on epic novel style posts online, in real life I'm quite reserved and quiet, and speak only when it is productive, and I only go on internet rants if i think there is some value to it, as well as the long winded details. I man should be quiet unless there is something of value to say, otherwise he shall remain quiet.

Not only are graphic t shirts gaudy and awful to look at, aestheticly ugly, classless, but they are above all obnoxious screaming without noise. Having something written on your shirt is a message, and not only are people going to be attracted to this shirt to read this message, and the message is often times very clear and confrontational or offensive in manner. If you wear a shirt with a crude joke, you are going around public telling a crude joke, and what do people think of you after receiving your message? Is the message necessary, is it productive? Is it counter productive? Was it necessary to blare out this message, to push this point visually to everyone close enough to read it?

I deal with people as people, not as ideologies or constantly looking for political opponents. I don't go around screaming "I AM X AND THESE ARE MY VALUES, EITHER BE MY FRIEND IF YOU AGREE OR BE MY ENEMY IF YOU AREN'T BUDDY" so i don't wear a shirt that makes a "point". I'll have dialogue in a civil tone and manner with people, but I don't go around looking to start these conversations anyways. If you really do believe in defending gun and property rights, than do so in a productive manner, not in a counter productive confrontational one.

Keep in mind there are pretenders out there too, not everyone with a Tap Out shirt is an MMA fighter, and not everyone wearing any type of gun related clothing or stickers either carries a gun, or may not even own a firearm at all. Some people just wear provacative things, some people support the cause but maybe the old lady won't let him buy a pistol, ect. I don't think a shirt or even an NRA sticker advertisers you are a carrier per se, and in some places with enough nutjobs someone might think a non carrier has a gun because the way his cell phone sticks in his clothes. Can't always judge straight, and can't always beat the people who see things they fear 'everywhere".

I think this hurts the cause more than it gives any sort of perceived loss of tactical advantage on this issue. Gun rights don't have official spokespeople to be honest, but I guess every single one of us speaks for the cause when we send a message, online, verbally, or on our clothes

I also don't generally care what people go do with themselves. I just don't like when people who "represent" things I consider myself (father, trucker, biker, armed citizen) represent themselves badly. I love the fact that folks are free to do as they please.

If the worst does happen and I have to defend myself, I don't wanna be in a shirt that reads "I'm the weapon" when the police show up and start asking questions.

I generaly wear some sort of " hey I'm a gun guy " attire especially if I go out with the wife or we are visiting some of her liberal friends and family ( most of my family and friends are gun loving rednecks like me ) my wife always wears her " I'm with stupid " shirt.

Default I recently posted......

...a custom T shirt of hunter orange with 'in your face' answers to "Gun violence awareness day" and "Mayors against gun violence".

I've never advertised my politics or beliefs in my entire life, but likewise I've never been so polarized on issues generated by the gun grabbers. In enjoy pointing out their 'reasoning' that is arrived at by hysteria.

I wear no clothing nor do I exhibit any stickers on my vehicles that would let anyone know of my vocation or the fact that I carry a concealed weapon. I save the numerous LE related tee-shirts i have for those times that I am training or in company only with my brethren.

My wife posts nothing on BookFace that lets anyone know where I work/what I do. Times being what they are, "sky-lining" like this makes you and your family, targets.

I very rarely leave a hand-gun/long-gun in my personal vehicle. Having a sticker on the outside of your car just invites someone to break a window to see if you do.

I dress how I want. Small town, small county, everybody knows me and what I do. Don't care . . .

Around here you'd stick out like a hair in the mac and cheese. Even the women wear camo. Wal-Mart on a Saturday is full of it, digital, woodland, desert, pink, you name it. Camo weddings are not exactly the norm, but they're common enough that a lot of people have a dress camo outfit, and most people keep a set of their better Carhartt's for barn weddings. Added that a fair percentage of these people are precluded by their probation officer or prior criminal convictions from possessing firearms. Some even adhere to those rules . . .

I did when I worked at Gun Shops. Now I save them for yard work days. I don't want to advertise that I may be carrying in public.

I don't but not because I'm trying to blend in or whatever. I just simply don't. I also don't have flag shirts or car manufacturer shirts or tractors or popular shows.

All my t-shirts are either solid single color. Like right now I'm wearing a black shirt. Or some retro stuff with Coca Cola or Levi's written on it. A few graphic shirts. Maybe one or two ADIDAS or Nike.

No bumper stickers either. Again, not hiding anything...... I don't even put stickers on my safe or ammo cans. Just not my thing.

I something wear camo when I go hiking but that is rare and I'm only wearing camo because it was the cheapest piece of clothing I'm willing to rip, stain and generally get dirty. If I found an bright neon orange shirt cheaper I'd wear that. It's simply convenience for me. Having said that, the camo clothing is irrelevant at this point because if I'm out hiking I have a rifle with me. Kinda sticks out!

I was riding with a friend who's pickup was really fancy and had all kinds of gun and NRA stickers on it. We stopped at a red light and one of those low riding cars full of undocumented immigrants pulled up beside us.

One guy leaned and said "Hey Mon, nice ride Mon, where you live Mon?

My friend turned kind of white and we took a circuitous route home.
Next time I saw him and his pickup, all of the bling and stickers were gone..

This kind of thing kinda bothers me. First off it is immature and shows no class. Second if you need to tell people what a tough guy you are, then you're not. Also it is never a good idea to tell the opposition (anti-guns, criminals) what your hand is.
Yeah, I do. I've got t-shirts from LE charity events I've shot at, some supporting different military units that were sold to raise money for the families of members that were killed, some other military theme t-shirts, t-shirts and hats from gun parts manufacturers and gunsmiths, etc.. I also wear t-shirts and hats from high performance auto parts companies, tractor companies, and all kinds of other businesses, even some that I had made up with the name of my own farm on them. I wear them at shooting matches, training and qualifying days, when working around my place, drag races, car shows, to the grocery, hardware, and feed stores, Wal-Mart. Pretty much wherever I feel like it. I also open carry fairly often because when I'm working outside it's easier and more comfortable than concealed and that often turns into errands to this store or that, or the gas station, or down to the town landing, or any number of other places. And, I know plenty of other people that do the same. Of course, that's not the entirety of my wardrobe and I don't wear those things all the time, but more often than not, when I'm on my own time, that's how I'll dress.

Does that make me classless or immature or mean that I'm trying to show how tough I am? Of course not, it simply means that I own lots of shirts and hats with different logos and printing on them and that's what I like to wear. Your presumptions about folks that wear themed t-shirts are ignorant and you're drawing conclusions about people you don't know based on nothing but the shirt they might be wearing. That's ridiculous.

Most of my t-shirts I own are manufacturer related. I have 3 Radian Weapons t-shirts. I think they are a great company and I love my Model 1 rifle I have no problem representing them. Most people wouldn't even know who they are even some people who are into firearms don't know who they are so its not very recognizable in that sense. But I also have a Vortex, Legion, M&P and a 556 Nato Flicker shirt, but they are subtle. They dont jump out at you like the shirt the OP posted that says "hey I carry a gun because its my right so fuq you." I wear them casually untucked with shorts or jeans and sneakers. IMO I go more unnoticed then the unbranded guy dressed like this...lol
