Correct. Because we’ve talked about guns. My boss dove and quail hunts. One guy goes to the range now and then. One girl’s husband has land that friends go and target shoot and blow up tannerite for fun, and he deer hunts. I had my AR upper delivered here via FedEx. We oohed and aahed when I got it.
The question was was posed about “carrying at work”. And I stated they may know, they may think, or may not care either way that I am. I don’t discuss it with anyone.
Everyone works in a different environment and with different types of folks.

I worked in semi-retirement for seven years at Dillon Precision. Every other person on the job was either armed openly or carried concealed.

Probably the safest place in Arizona to work.

This thread has taken some twist and turns that wasn't expected cool . From the two pages so far I don't get the feeling that alot of that posted work or worked in a retail service enviroment.I would like to get their take on it as well.

I don't have to justify my position to you or anyone else, especially since it was not illegal. I posted initially to answer the OP's question, and then responded to one self-righteous but irresponsible post.

I'm not sure why it's a concern if my co-workers know if I carry or not.

And that would be YOUR choice to make and that would make it the right choice for you. Other employers see things differently - not more right or wrong, just differently and they set different rules. To knowingly violate their rules and trust is wrong. In some cases, it means a mere dismissal; in others, it can mean a felony arrest, jail and lifetime loss of your 2A rights.

And if the job is that dangerous, perhaps a new one is the way to go. Folks can play "what-if" scenarios all day long, you cannot predict or even dream up every possibility and carrying is not always feasible.

My company has no rule against carrying at work so I do. My company moved to a new office building (multi tenant) that has a "no weapons" sign at the entrances, which I ignore. In Missouri it is a minor offense to carry in a place like this, and only if you refuse to remove the weapon from the premises when asked. If you carry concealed, no one is going to know so it's not an issue.

A few of us in the office talk about guns occasionally and even shoot together. No one acknowledges carrying at work, but I doubt I'm the only one.

If I were in a situation like the OP, where my employer showed no regard for my safety while I'm working in a job that is PROVEN to be dangerous...I would quietly carry concealed... while quietly searching for a new job.

Its very feasible to carry if your walking out a store alone at night with a bank deposit stuffed full of cash very late in the evening. In a rough part of town .Whats not to get here? Sounds like this company is a place for you. Its a revolving door. Most only stay 3 to six months if that long. I stayed about a lil over two years. ( A family to feed )So if your willing to work 100 hours a week 6 to 7 days week . ( it will be 7 ) they are always hireing. Shocking right lol

How about carrying in malls, churches, theaters, or other places where you are not allowed? I was at the mall yesterday and wasn't alone!
