Model 64 DAO Holster
I am looking for an OWB leather holster for my DAO Model 64. I like a retention strap but, of course, the lack of a hammer spur makes most straps useless. A strap over the trigger guard would be preferred but I'll look at anything with good retention characteristics. Suggestions?

Here’s what I use for my model 64, NY-1. It’s made by Western Images Leatherworks in Colorado. Home
They normally make the holster with a sweat shield, but with a bobbed hammer I didn’t need it, so they made it without the sweat shield.

I believe Lobo Gunleathers can do a strap over the trigger guard.

This is a Galco, can’t recall the model. It is extremely secure.

My suggestion would be the Street Combat pancake holster by EL Paso Saddlery.

A PROPERLY made and PROPERLY fit holster needs no retention straps, snaps, velcro, springs, screws etc IMO. I found that out when I had a Kramers Horsehide Holster made for my Chief's Special. 12+ years old now, no retention devises and the gun while easy to draw will not fall out even of the holster is upside down and jostled around.
IMHO, all the retention attached devises are for holsters that have not been made/fit properly and if you are counting on them to retain a carry gun, eventually you will be disappointed when it inadvertently pops opened. Those devises have been obsoleted by new holster manufacturing techniques, methods and superior designs.
At least for me, the exception to this are holsters made to recreate historical designs like "Cowboy Rigs". Those are more like Leather Pouches for guns if you will and mine have a piece of Rawhide that slips over the hammer - however my Colt SAA Revolvers are not for SD.
