Default Visiting Arkansas from Missouri

Title says it all. If my research is correct, the only difference I will need to know is that you must inform the Police if you are stopped.

Anything else?

Dave

The one time I have needed to do thisI was returning from my gun club. (I was rear ended ) I gave the officer my DL and CCW permit. I told him I have unloaded and cased firearms in the car. The ammo is either boxed or bagged in a zippered case. I was returning home from shooting at the ----- gun club. He told me he belonged to the same club. If you volunteer up front what you have with you it puts them at ease. My thinking anyway.

The only time I've had contact with an officer that didn't know me after I got my CCL was no big deal.

I informed him I had a CCL and gave him my DL and CCL and told him that I had a concealed pistol.

His reply was "No problem, I won't play with mine if You don't play with yours."

I always check off limits laws in any state I visit. For example in AR,
Note: You must have additional training and an Endorsement on your Arkansas License to Carry to carry on Public University/College Campuses. This option is only available to those with an Arkansas License to Carry with Endorsement and not with another states permit/license Arkansas honors.

Plenty of stories out there of some cops being a littler over zealous and ruining your day, not by shooting you just by running you through mill and keeping you on the side of the road for a spell.

And whatever you do if they ask to see it, tell them where it is and what you are about to do, as in "it's in my glove box and I'll open it to get it for you or it's on my persons etc."
Do Not Make Any Sudden Movements.

I realize you probably know all this, but the game has changed out here. Especially in the larger cities. My town would be considered small compared to some around the country and yet I have seen our cops pull ma&pa over for a traffic citation approaching with hand on gun.

Of course my town is 3/4 low-lives.
When the Chief issued me my permit, I made it a point to inform few of the finest and to spread the word, I was told not to worry we know everyone in this city who has a permit because it's less than 20. (and we know were you live and what you look like)

Which town in Arkansas is this?
