Default Who痴 carrying what?

I知 sure this has been discussed and the intent of the thread is not to create a debate. I am simply curious. If you had to pick one gun for carry how would you answer the following two questions?

I値l go first by saying if I only had one choice I would pick D (DA/SA) and B (No safety).

What configuration would you carry?
A - Revolver
B - Double Action Only (semi auto)
C - Single Action Only (semi auto)
D - Double Action / Single Action (semi auto)
E - Other

Would the gun have a manually operated safety lever?
A - Yes
B - No

I carry a double action revolver, .38 special, 4"bbl., in a holster on my right hip. Where it belongs. If I want to conceal it, just leave my shirt tail out or wear a jacket if it is cool. Couple of speed strips or speed loaders, depends on size pockets in whatever I have on.

My current situation leaves C (single stack striker fire no safety) as my EDC. That's only cause in FL I'm limited to concealed carry. Let's face it with it this hot it's hard to cover a huge gun.
If open carry was an option, I'd go for a full-size Double/Single with a safety.

I carry a 1911 commander, cocked and locked, so I guess it's a single/double action with a manual safety. with 2 reloads.

I carry a revolver every day. Currently a SP-101 or 64-2 backed up by a 340M&P.

When I have carried an automatic it was always a cocked and locked 1911.

Pocket-carried steel DAO revolver, a 640 no-dash, every day for years. Simple is good. So is reliable.

"carrying what?"
Six hours ago I was thinking that I have not seen a "What are you carrying?" topic thread for a while in the flashlight forum or in this forum. My thought was: When it happens, will it be a new thread, or a lengthy old thread bumped up?
Well, anyway, by night: Acebeam X65vn or two of them and G29 10mm 775 m.e. Underwood, or Thrunite TN42vn and .40 Shield 582 m.e. Underwood, or Acebeam X45vn and Defender .45 Super 694 m.e. Underwood, or any other combination/permutation.
By day: Same as above, but S2 Baton instead of the super magnum lights, and either one of the firearms, rotating daily on whim.

In Penn's Woods...... a revolver ......3 or 4 inch 66 or my "Kit Gun" a 3" micro 686.......... aka 60-10.

In the "City of Brotherly Love" or other urban area in Penn's Colony a single/double action 9mm auto..... w/ a decocker only if I can get one! Otherwise de-cocked "safety" off. 90% of the time it's a S&W 3913NL

Example: Kimber Super Carry Ultra .45 ACP.

Fortunately, I'm not limited to one gun, and have no plans to leave my others out of my carry routine.

Well just for going "casual" I'm now carrying a Ruger LCR in .38 in a pocket holster. Its small reasonably powerful and just disappears into my pocket. FWIW I live many miles from cities and just about ever resident up here in the boonies is legally armed. (NYS)

Going into the cities or other areas that has the potential for nasty things to occur I now am carrying my XDs.45 inside my waistband.

If situation go real bad.(say one of those horrific situations survivalists prepare for) the XDs and the LCR would be replace by my trusty combat modified 70 series Gold Cup. (good chance under those extreme circumstances a long gun would be close also)

For what I currently carry, A-B.

If I were limited to one gun, probably the same. My 642-1 is quite versatile for carry options, while being reasonably powerful and I can shoot it well.

For semi-autos, my preference would be B-B, with D-B a close second. Third place would probably be E-B (striker-fired). Last, but not least, would be C-A.

Yep. My most common fluctuation, with the occasional mousegun or J frame when the clothing or situation dictates it.

Today it's my snubby Model 64. Happens to be DAO but that's not all that important to me, my other snubby K frames are standard and there is one Model 10 I used to carry routinely until I customized this M64.

My EDC pistols are TDA and no safeties are ever in use. The revolver-type trigger pull is all that is required for safety.

I値l go first by saying if I only had one choice I would pick D (DA/SA) and B (No safety).

What configuration would you carry?
A - Revolver
B - Double Action Only (semi auto)
C - Single Action Only (semi auto)
D - Double Action / Single Action (semi auto)
E - Other

Would the gun have a manually operated safety lever?
A - Yes
B - No
I carry a smith mountain gun 45 colt at work. Used to carry my model 29 with 6.5 barrel . The gun got a little heavy to carry on my hip so thus the mountain gun. Plus I知 not a very good shot with automatics. I値l take a revolver everyday of the week.
