DIXON, ILLINOIS. THE SILENCE IS DEAFENING
There was a school shooting at the Dixon High School in Dixon, Illinois about 0800 this morning. The media is pretty much totally ignoring it. A 19-year old former student showed up near the gym during graduation practice and opened fire. The School Resource Officer, a Dixon PD officer, instead of hiding behind his car ran TO the gunfire. When he spotted the cop the shooter ran. The cop pursued. They exchanged fire. The bad guy missed. The cop didn't. Shooter is in custody. Zero casualties beside the shooter. I wonder why the MSM isn't covering this. (Actually, I don't.)

That's not far from me ..
Sounds like the officer involved did everything he was suppose to ..
Meeting the threat head on !!!
May well have saved many lives .. he should be honored for his actions !!!

Yes, there have been 3 school RSO’s who have attacked a shooter at their school since Parkland and all have stooped the shooter before a mass casualty situation occurred. They didn’t hide outside waiting to retire collecting $8,700 a month. Makes me sick.

Aside from pure narrative bias, nobody's going to report on any of the hundreds of thousands of defensive gun uses that occur every year in this country, for the simple fact that nothing happened.
Which is the whole point.

And yet, here in Il, we have a bill, passed by the House, awaiting Senate (or vice versa), that gives schools monetary incentives to replace RSOs with 'social workers'.

We had a similar school shooting here in Ocala, haven't heard a word.

One local paper quoted leo as saying it a " 9mm rifle". The kid is supposedly is a convicted felon and had just recently been found guilty of misdemeanor weed poss. last month. That is what parents are saying was the catalyst for this event, he was thrown off football team because of the weed arrest and his peers ostracized him.
