S&W 442 5 shot revolver. Bodyguard 380 w/7 shots, or Glock26 10+1.
Fills all CCW needs!

I guess I'd have to reply with a question - "Favorite for what purpose?"
For versatility in almost any role - defense, target shooting, house gun, what have you, I'd have to pick a Smith Model 66 with a 4" barrel. Shoots everything from .38 Special wadcutters to hell-for-leather .357 Magnums. Easy to pack. Easy to maintain. Looks good. Feels good.
My pick of the Model 66 litter would be this dash one. Last of the elegant pinned and recessed 66s. Made in the old way in 1978, with hand fitting. I bought this one new in the box and had it treated to a great action job by Nelson Ford. It's one of the last guns I would ever part with.

That was what the sheriff issued 1979 with 110 .357 magnum JHP. Night qualifying was impressive Now the sheriff issues sig’s in .357sig.

Currently it is my Chiefs Special 9mm, CS9. After years of carrying larger heavier guns, the CS9 is a joy to carry.
And it shoots like a much bigger pistol. Very accurate and 100% reliable. Regards 18DAI

My favorite carry gun is a Colt Commander .45acp.
My favorite carry revolver is my 3" Model 13.
However, last year I picked up a 642 that I'm finding on my hip more and more. Its small, light and easy to carry. Even though its not my first choice, I'm becoming quite fond of it.

I think the 4" N-frame is about perfect all around handgun. Especially as a hand loader & especially in 44mag. For factory only ammo, tough to beat a 4" L-frame, 357mag. I love my snubs & the 357mag, but when i look to ccw something, i reach for a compact semi. My p239/357sig carries 8+1, smaller & lighter & easier to shoot than my m66. Slightly better ballistics too.

Now that I'm retired, I find a no-lock 642 PC with a reload gets carried more than my other handguns. Everyone needs to use their own judgement in evaluating their particular threat level in a given area. For me, that means on my turf, I can carry a five-shot revolver or a 9-shot semiauto with confidence.

I carry a P365 almost daily since its purchase. I carried a Shield PC .45 or a SA 1911RO compact/SA EMP contour prior.

XDs .45 this week. Hadn't carried it for a good while but I'm falling in love with it again. I can't remember why I drifted away from it. Whats not to like?

My all time favorite is my 65-2 which was my next to last revolver duty weapon. However, what I carry most of the time is a 642-1. Years ago a traded (regretfully now) a 640 no dash for a 3913 that I only kept 2 years. Been looking for a 640 that a retired cop can afford but no luck so far,

I like to pocket carry so I usually swap between my 940 and my 342PD. The 342 is somewhat smaller and a lot lighter so that's my go-to for a pants pocket ( in a DeSantis pocket holster ).
The 940 is better in a coat, so that gets the most time in the winter.
I've recently acquired a 66-4 with the short barrel and will start carrying that on occasion. But that K frame is BIG (by comparison) and that restricts it to a belt holster.
My only other "concealed (lol) carry" piece is a 460V that I have an AE Nelson shoulder holster for. That's only for camping though. But, in theory, I could street carry it.

I think my 66-1 4"er is my most often fired revolver, but my most often carried is a 2" model 64. Range revolver, has to go to the 25-5. It might also be the one I fondle the most.

That's a hard one for me.
My favorite is probably my 6.5" 1959 M-27. Just because what it is what it is.
My 27-7 in the most beautiful handgun that I own. But then that's just my opinion.
My favorite EDC is my 642-1 .38 Special +P. This was my brothers backup for years. He gave it to me nearly 5 years ago.
I carried this 640-1 .357 Mag for about 6 years until my brother gave me his 642-1.
I just recently replaced the original stocks with the combat stocks and got a new holster for it.
I actually enjoy carrying this one once in a while since I replaced the stocks and got a different holster for it.
This was the very first pistol that I ever bought and yep, I bought it from my brother.
I headed into the mountains today on my ATV.
When I'm out riding I like carrying my M&P .45. I find it fun to shoot.

I would love to see a pic of your 442. You've been shooting and carrying it for 25 years? Wow. Cool.
36's seem like they'd be way nice.
