It would seem to be more of an armed home invasion than a burglary. Except that no one was home. I wonder what weapons the home owner might have had available if he or she had been home?

It is obvious to me that some sort of perimeter alert system has advantages. I need to practice with the Mossberg some more.
I grew up in that part of the world. Used to be pretty quiet with lots of farms. Yes sir, we are really making progress.

I have cameras with a perimeter alert notification but I may need to put away my Kahr380 and take out a real gun after seeing that.

THIS REEKS OF A DRUG DEALER/REVENGE TYPE CRIME.
A "simple" burglary where a druggie wants to get in grab cash & stuff easily traded for drugs & get out WITHOUT a confrontation, doesn't require 3 people & guns. A gun bumps the charges WAY up. Something smells fishy, MORE involved than a burglary IMO.

Was the guy with the gun holding a phone to his left ear with his shoulder? Could cell phone records held ID him?

I am thinking that this house was targeted for a reason.
Now If I was an erstwhile Sherriff's deputy tasked with investigating this. I would tell the residents of the place that I want to bring in a canine to see if it can pick up any clues, or trails.
I have dollar that says that this idea might not be all that well received.
