Snubby Info Booklet
A link to this booklet by Michael DeBethencourt was posted on another forum. It is named Thirty Eight Straight Tips for Better Snub Shooting , by Michael DeBethencourt.
I purchased it and must say it is a great read, whether you are an experienced revolver shooter or a novice looking for some information.
Here is a link: 38 Straight Tips for Better Snub Shooting. | I'm with ROSCOE

Had the pleasure of meeting and knowing Ed Lovette when he was an instructor at the State of New Mexico Police Academy. That was much before he went on to bigger and better? things. I was a firearms instructor in the annual NMState Police Academy which took place in the same facilities as did the year round Academy for all NM LEOs that became a requirement back in the 70's. That one started out with a one week session per class in the beginning and there was a requirement that all existing LEO's had to "qualify" plus any new one had to do so within one year of hire date. Albuquerque PD had it's own academy and so were covered as was the NMSP. It was a pretty hectic deal to get all the State's LEO's through the initial program. That program grew over the years as it should have.
I was impressed with Mr. Lovette at that time and he was just a young lad at the time. Of course, I wasn't much older! His book is a good read and contains other info that is interesting to read. It is a bit dated but I think it's worth your time and money.

The Lovette book is excellent, but not replete with technique tips. Still well worth obtaining. I'm not familiar with the pamphlet, or with DeBethencourt.

I picked up the aforementioned booklet by Michael DeBethencourt after it was mentioned over on another (private) forum.
Interesting mix of basic tips, some history and some practice suggestions. It wasn't what I was expecting, but what ever is, right?
While I felt the loading/(reloading) part of the book could've incorporated some other proven methods (less cumbersome when using a little snub), the booklet was overall an interesting bit of basic info for a snub owner.
I don't regret having added it to my library.

Awaiting my copy but your comments were exactly the reservations I had before finally giving in.
I'm sure I'll find some value in the booklet one way or the other.

Yep. If nothing else, and if you're already an accomplished snub shooter, it'll be a nice addition to round out a niche in a book collection.

Me too! Got mine a good long while it was discontinued. Had no idea! I'm gonna make sure I take really good care of my copy, although I'm not rough on my books. Will really think twice before I loan it to anyone!
