My CZ 75D PCR is a very pleasant semi-auto to carry around on my belt, but if I load it full-up with 147 gr ammo it becomes a brick. I've lately been carrying it with only 10 rounds and find it much more pleasant to get along with. I may even try stepping down to 115 gr. bullets to see how much more that helps.

If you ever own a 5.7 and shoot with 30 round Promags, you won’t be loading them to full capacity if you want reliability. Some people never use a full mag +1 for the same reason, a totally stuffed mag may be less reliable on some guns.

NO..... the weight savings has to be minimal at best.............thou I do carry my 3913 with the 'uncommon" flush fit 7rd magazine..... my extra is a standard 8rd mag.

I tend to carry a full size mag with a grip adapter as my spare...............
So a PC Shorty9 (6906) is 12+1 + 15....... for a total of 28rds.

To save weight I'd opt for a Compact or alloy frame gun....... not fewer bullets.

Think 6906 vs a 5906........ carry guns are carried a lot and maybe never shot in anger.......

Keep the gun. Buy a gun belt and OWB holster.
Clinger Kydex holster, pancake or Yaqui leather styles holds pistol close in.
Double clips or slots distribute the weight.
Personally, I do not find the IWB hybrid holsters as comfortable.
