The "Geneva Convention" addressed the people of war while the "Geneva Accord" addressed the weapons of war.

Of my carry pistols 1 is 9mm and 2 - 40 S&W and 1 - 357 magnum ..

I started with a 9mm and then shot a buddy's S&W Compact in 40 and loved it .. he hated it the recoil was too intense for his liking and sold it soon after ..

I like the 40 and really don't think the 357 magnum is much worse if any .. Just picked up a 686 so will find out how well I shoot it ..

I have a couple of .44 magnums and a few .357s that I shoot, and recoil
has never been an issue for me. Just call me crazy. I think that the
recoil issue is 90% mental and only 50% physical (as Yogi Berra might
say).

In an Airweight? I'll pass.
I wish this load was still available. Though I would rarely choose a 357snub for carry, it is very manageable in one with good terminal performance.

Not really. COllateral damage is mostly from a miss not over penetration. The old 38sp RNL would not stay inside average size human torso. The faster you drive a good jhp, the less it will usually penetrate, the bullet expands more & slows faster during penetration.

There is an old saying that people that say it can't be done should never impede or interrupt the ones that are doing it!

You seem to be looking for an argument!! You won't get one from me however, I will show you facts so that you may learn!
Its a good thing this dude was banned, he gives LEO, retired or working, a bad rep.

FYI, the 145gr STHP is still around, sort of. Winchester seems to manufacture it every few years. I think they made some a few months ago. I imagine they sold out quickly. It was the one round I wanted to try in my 3" 65, but it was never available when I looked for it. Since selling my 65 I've seen it on sale twice.

It greatly depends on the gun you are firing .357Mag with. If it's a full sized steel frame gun with at least a 3" or more barrel the .357Mag shouldn't be much of a problem for a healthy adult.

If it's a snubby with an aluminum frame then no way. I don't even shoot .38spl +P in my light weight snubby's because I can't shoot well enough with them and because I'm not convinced that the benefits of +P round expansion offset the negatives when fired through a 2" barrel.

If I'm carrying a 3" or larger .357Mag revolver and I plan on being outdoors most of the time then there is no good reason why I wouldn't load up with the best .357Mags I can get.
