Clever name, indeed. I also don't have a rotation. Same gun, same holster, same pocket every day. Shallow learning curve.
My hand is a creature of habit.

Mine is nearly as simple.
S&W 642-1 for walking distances from our rural home.
Glock 26 (occasionally 19) once I set foot in the 4Runner to leave for town or points further out.

I've never seen much point in frequently "rotating" carry guns.
I guess it's OK if the guns have the same method of operation like two Glocks or two J frames.
But I'm concerned that if I had different guns, and ever had to use one in an emergency, I'd forget something like flicking off the safety, or expecting to see a laser dot and forgetting I'd brought the gun with no laser.

To be fair there are people who have a lot more training and experience than I do (not that I have all that much) who have an extensive "carry rotation" and I'm not about to play "More tacticool than thou" with them.
I choose not to rotate first because I don't have the budget for it and second because since I don't feel like I get a lot of training or range time I think I'm better off keeping it simple.

Same gun, same ammo, same mode of carry, 7/52/365, for a good many years. For me, simple and reliable is the only way to go.

90% of the time I'm carrying my 3953. I also have a 4053 and CS40 along with a Walther PPS40 that I carry occasionally.

I don't always carry the same gun. My excuse is age, physical condition and changing weather more or less mandating changing dress. But it's an excuse. The people who carry the same gun[s] all the time are right, and I'm just making excuses and muddling along the best I can. Seriously.

My carry, for years, depended on where I was going. Mind you, they all had the same manual of arms, that is, draw, aim, press trigger, whether they were revolver or auto. As much as I love the BHP and 1911, due to the manual safety, I didn't like to put them in the mix.
Now, since last November, this 4006 is what I carry all the time. It's even taken the place of a .44 Magnum out in the woods, as I'm pretty confident that I could kill a black bear (as unlikely as that is!) with it:
Edit: I will carry an extra occasionally, like a Colt DS or a Mod.36, but this is my primary EDC.

You could always carry the BHP or 1911 with the safety OFF!

I have carried the same pistol since it was introduced decades ago, a CS 45, and I will continue carrying it. I not only consider rotating guns as ill advised, I think the practice is dangerous.

I carry a bunch of different guns depending on my mood. I don't own a pistol with an external safety so that's no issue. They all go bang when I pull the trigger. I've got a Glock and an XDM, but everything else is either DA/SA or DAO. I won't name them all, but...
My most frequently carried would be:
Taurus 445 (44spl snubby)
G29 Gen 4
Bodyguard Airweight pre-38
Springfield XDM 10mm 4.25"
Woods carry goes to my Model 29 3" or that same Taurus 445.
I don't see anything dangerous or ill advised at all about carrying different weapons at different times. That notion seems kinda silly to me but YMMV.
Ask me the same question in a year I'm sure I'll have different favorites.

I did have variety in my carry guns, dependent on my clothing. Got tired of playing "musical guns". A S&W Shield is now my EDC in civilized areas. I'll still tote my 60-15 when hunting, fishing or woods bumming.

I was trained to carry the same type of weapon in the same way all the time and never thought a “carry rotation” was a good idea, especially if you rotate from an auto loader to a revolver.

My primary EDC for the last couple of years has been this Model 60ND. Ex-LEO personal BUG with a very sweet trigger (at least as compared to my other J’s...LOL)
Occasionally, I switch out with my Kimber Ultra Carry, mostly during winter months.

Ruger LCP in pocket holster when wearing basketball type shorts with only a drawstring for a belt; or SIG P365 otherwise. As to rotation, since I just bought a second 365, I'll rotate between those two.

My "rotation" is my gun safe.
It's full of guns I bought when I could only carry what my employer said I could. Now I can carry what I want, so I do.
I have zero concerns I won't be able to handle my business should I need to.

I don't really have a rotation but unless I'm in the woods I carry one of two handguns, a J frame Chief and a Commander size 1911. I have carried these two guns for years; the Model 60 was my BUG and the Kimber was my off duty for many years. I've been toying with picking up a compact 1911 9mm and retiring the M60 but my heart (and wallet) aren't in it.

I carry an LCPII .380 chamber empty in my pocket most of the time and when in the woods I carry a Browning HP hammer down on loaded chamber or sometimes a Ruger Securiy Six 4".

The very words " my carry rotation ", annoys me on a number of levels. Kind of like the words " date night ". I suppose in my narrowed mind it meant one carries a different weapon on a different time period just for yuks. THAT really irritated me as for my professional life I was trained that we always revert back to our training and throwing a variable into the mix could proved unpleasant. I realize that after reading the above posts that most here do not carry weapons haphazardly and do try to stick with go with what you know or the KISS principle. I realize that I am probable the one with the issue with the term I still feel it is an annoying term and reminds me of a sticker for my Motor Helmet that had a derogatory comment referencing " Yuppies ". Than you for allowing me to air this grievance.

I agree. Since my annual LEOSA certification is for a revolver, that’s all I carry. But I have many to choose from depending on the situation and what I just want to carry any given day.

Here’s mine. 442, 42, or 43, SnubbyFan AIWB or Fobus paddle OWB. Waiting on a SnubbyFan for the 42. The 442 in the AIWB is the most concealable, so it’s the t shirt and shorts pistol, and the 43, the least concealable with the OWB Fobus, is the cold weather pistol.

My carry rotation is as follows.
1. S&W Model 6946, preferred daily carry, carried most days.
2. S&W Model 640-1, carried when it is impossible to conceal the Model 6946.

Rotation:
M2.0 / 9mm / 15+1
spring - summer
PX4 Storm Compact
9mm / 15+1
fall - winter
there is no favorite carry gun - at least for myself.
I would equate this to naming your favorite kids
you cant do it ...... (if we start naming "go-to" firearms for HD or "whats behind the door...that is where favoritism comes into play

I've got eight guns that are on a regular carry rotation depending on dress and venue. I'm currently considering selling a couple range guns to add a couple more. But, hey, whatever works. I like options

Since my work issues Glock, that is what I carry 90% of the time. Either a G17 or 19 both Gen 2 which are well vetted and reliable.
My issue G23 Gen 4 has a nasty habit of hitting me in the forehead with an ejected case about once in a hundred rounds.
Since I recently had cataract surgery in both eyes, I don’t want a hot .40 casing anywhere near my face for a while.

I would equate this to naming your favorite kids
you cant do it ...... (if we start naming "go-to" firearms for HD or "whats behind the door...that is where favoritism comes into play

I have to slightly disagree !! There are favorite guns .. They're
the ones I own .. the ones not my favorite I didn't buy !! I carry the PX4 Sub Compact .. and Yes its my favorite of all my pistols ,, I shoot it very well and conceals as well and any pistol that I have owned ..

"Carry rotation" sounds so formal. I use the 'what do I feel like today' method. I keep 7 or 8 guns in a special place outside of the safe, and depending on the mood of the day, I grab a gun that fits. Some days I feel confident, so the Kahr 380 goes in my pocket. Some days I'm kinda anxious, so the Shield 45 with an extra mag is the choice. And some days I'm feelin' nostalgic, so the 640 gets the call. There are others, but you get the idea. It's like a Mood Ring for guys.

Carry guns
I have two or three difference guns that I frequently carry, but most of the time its my Sig 365. Trouble free, acurite, and small enough to carry comfortably. No problem qualifying with it for my 218 permit.

ONce in a while I will change carry guns, I will take several weeks to get to the point I feel the I have the manual of arms down to the point of muscle memory. My normal everyday carry is a command size 1911. my transition carry will be a 686 3 inch.

I have no plans to replace my carry gun but the 365 is certainly a web buzzword. I may have to check into it further as that seems to be what all the cool kids want.
It's the modern day equivalent of Beatle boots and Members Only jackets.

Generally, I carry either a Shield 9mm or .45, a Glock 43, a Sig P365 or one of my J-frames. All of the semis have the same manual of arms and only differ in capacity. None have external safeties, so I don't worry about the brand differences.
