Arizona permit class
My Nevada permit lapsed in December. I would rather get an Arizona permit now. Can anyone point me to a good source for finding a class? Scottsdale is where I would like to go, but I am open to suggestions.
Thanks and God bless,

Try Shooters World in Phoenix. They can probably help you out.

I'd opt for the CC class at the Ben Avery Shooting Facility. Concealed Carry Permit in Phoenix, AZ
I lived in PHX for years. This is a great place! You might want to be acquainted with the BASF if you plan to spend some time in PHX and want to shoot.

Gunsite Academy.
It's so prestigious that apparently training there automatically makes you an expert on all things firearms, so if you ever get on the wrong side of an argument, you can just pull the Gunsite card, which is basically the equivalent of a Jedi Mind Trick.

Do you need a class? I moved from Michigan and sent in a copy of my Michigan Permit with my application and received my AZ CCL in 15 days. No class needed.

Thanks guys, much help here.
Urit, I have seen the Ben Avery facility on TV, looks like a great place. And yes, I plan to spend more than enough time to shoot there or wherever I end up. I would like to plan the trip around an IDPA match.
Harry, I though about gunsite. I guess I should have assumed they had a CCW class. I wish it were a bit closer to lodging.
AZretired, that is very interesting, I will research. I know that Nevada would not not accept my other permits/training from other states, but maybe that has changed.
Really appreciate the help!

I'm in California... I used my training completion certificate from the Utah CCW class I took to get a non-resident Utah Permit to apply for the AZ permit, received it a few weeks later.... easy as can be.
If you had to complete a class for your Nevada permit, the expired permit will also suffice: View Document
N. An applicant shall demonstrate competence with a firearm through any of the following:
6. A valid current or expired concealed weapon, firearm or handgun permit or license that is issued by another state or a political subdivision of another state and that has a training or testing requirement for initial issuance.

Whoa, time out! Those are some pricey places.
Try Safe Arizona Firearms Education over on Baseline in Mesa. They are extremely reasonable, with classes from around $20 on up. They put them on all over the state, so you don't have to come all the way to Mesa if you don't live in the Valley. Their number is (480) 244-6315 and their web site is
https://www.safearizona.com/
They also have a Facebook page, Safe Arizona Firearms Education - Home | Facebook
They have a good reputation and everyone says they put on a great class.

As others have stated no class needed for the OP. Submit finger prints, expired permit and fee.
In less than a month you will have permit in hand.

Arizona rules are totally different from Nevada. YOU DON'T NEED AN AZ CLASS. Just have any one of the qualifications AZ requires.

Are you moving there?
I don't think Nevada recognizes Arizona carry permits.

Nevada residents must have a Nevada concealed carry permit or may open carry.
Open carry is common outside of Las Vegas.

Nevada does recognize AZ... two sites besides an official state site to check on such concerns:
USCCA CCW Reciprocity Map & US Gun Laws | USCCA

Nevada residents may NOT carry in Nevada on out of state license:
2. A person who possesses a permit to carry a concealed firearm that was issued by a state included in the list prepared pursuant to NRS 202.3689 may not carry a concealed firearm in this State if the person: (a) Becomes a resident of this State; and (b) Has not been issued a permit from the sheriff of the county in which he or she resides within 60 days after becoming a resident of this State.
NRS 202.3688

Hi Guys, so sorry I did not post response. I was buried in work. I am a California resident and have several other permits, so I ordered the application package on recommendations made here. Package is already here. Will fill out and submit this week. Thanks again to all for saving me tons of time and trouble.
God Bless, fuzzy
